Abstract

The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A user equipment (UE) comprising: a transceiver; and at least one processor coupled to the transceiver, and configured to: receive, from a base station (BS), information on a first channel state information (CSI) report configuration, the CSI report configuration including: for a first CSI report, a higher layer parameter of a report quantity set to 'cjtc-Dd', and for a second CSI report, a higher layer parameter of information on coherent joint transmission (CJT) including a codebook type set to 'typeII-CJT-r18', wherein: the information on CJT report is linked with the CSI report configuration, and the information on CJT includes an aperiodic CSI trigger state including information on delay offset compensation; determine CSI by compensating delay offset values based on the information on delay offset compensation, wherein the delay offset values are reported values in a latest report of the CSI report configuration, and transmit, to the BS, the second CSI report including the CSI.
