Abstract

The present invention pertains to the technical field of methods for producing iron ore pellets in the travelling grate pelletising process. In particular, the aim of the present invention is to use a pyrolysed biomass in a fuel mixture used in the iron ore pellet production process. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for producing iron ore pellets in the travelling grate pelletising process, characterised in that a granulated pyrolysed biomass composed of charcoal fines obtained from the sieving of granulated charcoal is mixed with a mineral fuel selected from anthracite and / or coke to form a mixed fuel; the mixed fuel is milled, with control of the particle size; and the milled mixed fuel is added to the mixture for pelletising, before the step of forming the raw pellet.
