Controller for resonant converter

Abstract

A controller for a resonant converter for receiving an input voltage and for generating an output voltage, the resonant converter comprising a high side switch and a low side switch coupled at a switching node, a resonant tank coupled to the switching node, wherein the controller comprises a control circuit configured to generate one or more control signals, a gate driving circuit configured to receive the one or more control signals, and drive the switching operation of each of the high and low side switches based on the one or more control signals, as received, and a sensor configured to sense a switching node voltage at the switching node, wherein the control circuit is configured to perform a control operation based on the switching node voltage, as sensed by the sensor.
