A communication method and a related apparatus. The method comprises: a first communication apparatus receiving first channel information on a first time unit that is from a second communication apparatus, wherein the first channel information comprises at least one piece of first path information, each piece of first path information corresponds to one port resource, each piece of first path information comprises first information and second information, the first information is used for identifying a port resource of a network device, and the second information is path information of a path set corresponding to the port resource; and the first channel information is used for the first communication apparatus to determine second channel information on a second time unit. In the present application, a second communication apparatus sends to a first communication apparatus path information of a path set corresponding to a port resource, such that it is not necessary to send all path information of each path, thereby reducing the overheads of communication resources.
