Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining cylindrical offset values of an ophthalmic lens manufacturing process, the method comprising: - providing ophthalmic lenses manufactured by means of said manufacturing process, each ophthalmic lens being produced with the intention of complying with a required cylinder, - for each ophthalmic lens, measuring an effective cylinder, - in a common two-dimensional reference frame, calculating, for each ophthalmic lens a difference between the effective cylinder and the requested cylinder, - calculating a mean of the differences, - determining, based on the mean, a cylindrical offset power value of said manufacturing process and an cylindrical offset axis value of said manufacturing process along which the cylindrical offset power value is oriented.
