Abstract

The present invention relates to an agricultural system (200; 300; 400) for processing an area of a cultivated field (100), comprising a frame assembly (210), at least a first and a second processing module (230; 330; 430a, 430b), each comprising a processing equipment (250; 350; 450) and a support (240; 440) supporting said processing equipment (250; 350; 450). The agricultural system further comprises an elevator (220) movably connected to the frame assembly (210) and adapted to raise and lower the first and second processing modules (230; 330; 430a, 430b) relative to the cultivated field (100), and an articulated structure (260) connected to the elevator (220) and to the support (240; 440) of the first and second processing modules (230; 330; 430a, 430b) to transition the agricultural system (200; 300; 400) between a deployed, field-ready configuration and a folded configuration. The first and second processing modules (230; 330; 430a, 430b) are arranged to extend in a direction orthogonal to the travel direction of the agricultural system (200; 300; 400) in the field-ready configuration such that a processing side (250a; 350a; 450a) of the processing equipment (250; 350; 450) of each processing module (230; 330; 430a, 430b) is facing the cultivated field (100). The articulated structure (260) comprises a motorized pitch joint (270) to pivot the first and second processing module around a pitch axis (φ), a first and a second motorized pivot joints (280a, 280b) and a connecting member (262) kinematically connecting the first and second motorized pivot joints (280a, 280b) to said motorized pitch joint (270).
