Abstract

The present invention relates to: a method for manufacturing a solid fuel; and a solid fuel manufactured by the method. The method comprises the steps of: exposing a pretreated fiber composite material to superheated steam to decompose a matrix resin while recovering regenerated fibers; converting the decomposed and gaseous matrix resin decomposition product into a condensate using cooling water; collecting and drying the matrix resin decomposition product in the condensate; and pulverizing or molding the dried matrix resin decomposition product, wherein the fiber composite material is a composite material in which the matrix resin is mixed with 'carbon fibers, glass fibers, or a mixture thereof'. A solid fuel having excellent quality can be obtained from the fiber composite material.
