Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for selling albums through a kiosk, and a recording medium. The method for selling albums through a kiosk, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving an album purchase request signal from the kiosk; selecting one unique code from among unique codes stored for an album for which the purchase request signal has been received; generating an identification code and matching the selected unique code to the identification code; and transmitting the identification code to the kiosk.

Description

Method, device, and recording media for selling records through a kiosk

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method, apparatus, and recording medium for selling sound recordings through a kiosk.

[0002] Media such as CDs, MDs, and LPs have been used as media for distributing music albums. To play music albums on these media, one must not only carry the media at all times but also use a dedicated player, which is inconvenient. Furthermore, since these media are primarily made of plastic, environmental pollution issues are emerging in the recent music market, where they are mass-produced and consumed.

[0003] Recently, to address these issues, "smart albums" have emerged and are gaining prominence, enabling access to music and other content via smart devices rather than traditional media such as CDs. Smart albums consist of media containing identification codes, such as NFC or QR codes; when a user scans an identification code with a smart device, the server transmits the album content assigned to that code to the device, allowing access.

[0004] Meanwhile, just like existing music media, smart albums are produced by forecasting demand in advance and sold online and offline.

[0005] Under these conventional production and sales methods, if demand forecasts are inaccurate, albums may not be sold to consumers in a timely manner, or conversely, obsolete inventory may result. Furthermore, conventional sales methods, particularly offline sales, can make it difficult to immediately verify sales volume and reflect it in the statistics.
