Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing scattering of cooking oil, and the apparatus for preventing scattering of cooking oil according to the present invention comprises: a support portion having a plurality of fixing portions formed along the outer boundary of a frame having an opening space formed at the center thereof, and arranged on the upper side of a cooking container; and a blocking sheet portion in which a plurality of slits cut in a first direction on a plate surface are arranged to cross one another with respect to a second direction intersecting the first direction, wherein, while the plurality of slits are respectively opened in the second direction by extension in the second direction, the slits located at both ends of the blocking sheet portion are respectively coupled to the fixing portions located at both sides of the support portion, so as to close the opening space of the support portion.

Description

Cooking oil splash guard

[0001] The present invention relates to a cooking oil splash prevention device, and more specifically, to a cooking oil splash prevention device capable of preventing oil splashing while simultaneously inducing the smooth discharge of steam.

[0002] Generally, cooking vessels such as frying pans are flat and wide, so if a lid is not used, oil splashes out of the vessel, contaminating the cooking utensils, and the oil vapors generated during cooking contaminate the kitchen ceiling or the hood installed above the cooking equipment.

[0003] Consequently, people sometimes cover cooking containers with readily available paper, such as newspapers or paper calendars, while cooking; although this can prevent oil from splashing, it is unsanitary if the paper is not clean.

[0004] Consequently, lids are made of glass, silicone, or metal, but the grease stains on them must be washed after every use, which is inconvenient. Since these lids have fixed sizes, not only is it inconvenient to purchase lids for each cooking container size, but storing multiple lids is also difficult.

[0005] In addition to this, if food is stored for a long period with grease on the lid, bacteria can multiply, making it unhygienic. Furthermore, when cooking with the lid on, steam generated during the cooking process does not evaporate and remains inside the pan, making it impossible to achieve crispy food.

[0008] However, as the overall external shape is conical, water droplets condensed on the inner wall of the lid inevitably flow downward along the slope and return to the inside of the cooking container; this causes a problem in that these droplets mix with the hot oil inside the container, further inducing oil scattering.
