Abstract

Disclosed herein are gas burners for the combustion of gaseous or liquid fuels that partially- premix the fuel with an oxidant to combust the fuel with low NOx emissions. The gas burner has a plurality of turning vanes to swirl the oxidant and a plurality of shearing blades to shear a portion of the swirled oxidant. The swirled and sheared oxidant then mixes with fuel streams exiting a plurality of fuel injectors located within the gas burner.
