The control method is applicable to an adaptive cable spooling apparatus, and comprises: a programmable controller acquires a first rotation signal of a cable spooling driver (102), a second rotation signal of a drum driver (103), and a switching signal of a proximity switch from a previous time point; the programmable controller determines, on the basis of the switching signal, the number of layers of a cable (111) wound on a cable storage drum (110), and determines, on the basis of the number of layers, a third rotation direction of a threaded lead screw (108) driven by the cable spooling driver (102) at a current time point; the programmable controller constructs an adaptive adjustment coefficient on the basis of a first rotation speed, a second rotation speed, a cable diameter of the cable (111), and a pitch of the threaded lead screw (108); the programmable controller determines, on the basis of the adaptive adjustment coefficient and the first rotation speed, a third rotation speed at which the cable spooling driver (102) drives the threaded lead screw (108) at the current time point, and controls the drum driver (103) on the basis of the third rotation direction and the third rotation speed. The adaptive cable spooling apparatus, the control method, the control unit, and the medium can improve the control accuracy of cable spooling.
