Abstract

Disclosed in the present invention are an aluminum alloy material, a method for manufacturing a battery housing by means of cold drawing, and a preparation method for an aluminum alloy cast rod. The aluminum alloy material at least comprises Al, Mn, Si, Cu, Fe and Ce, wherein the mass percentage content of Ce is 0.3-1 wt%. In the present application, Ce having a specific content is creatively added as a raw material to an aluminum alloy to perform a modification treatment, which can reduce the size of aluminum grains by one half to one third, refine the grains and effectively hinder the movement of dislocations, thereby improving the strength and hardness of the aluminum alloy material. Further disclosed in the present invention are a method for manufacturing a battery housing from the aluminum alloy material by means of cold drawing, and a preparation method for an aluminum alloy cast rod.
