A degassing apparatus and a corresponding method An apparatus for degassing a liquid, preferably water, from at least one undesired gas, for instance oxygen and / or carbon dioxide, which is dissolved in the liquid, wherein the apparatus comprises a storage tank (1) and a first degassing column (2) which is mounted on top of the storage tank (1), wherein the first degassing column (2) comprises a first stripping gas inlet (3), a first liquid inlet (6), a first stripping gas outlet (4) for the stripped gas and a first liquid outlet (5) for the degassed liquid arranged at the bottom section (21) of the first degassing column (2) to allow the degassed liquid to flow down into the storage tank (1), and at least one second degassing column (8) is mounted on top of the storage tank (1) side by side to the first degassing column (2), wherein the second degassing column (8) comprises a second stripping gas inlet (11), a second liquid inlet (12), a second stripping gas outlet (10) for the stripped gas and a second liquid outlet (13) for the degassed liquid to allow the degassed liquid to flow down into the storage tank (1), and wherein multiple internals (7) comprising packing or trays (7) are provided within the degassing columns (2) and (8), wherein the first liquid inlet (6) and the second liquid inlet (12) are connected to a same liquid source (40), and a liquid regulator (50) is provided to distribute the liquid between the first liquid inlet (6) and the second liquid inlet (12).
