Abstract

A forming device (1), in particular a dry-forming device, for forming a fiber-based object is proposed. The forming device (1) comprises: a three-dimensional shaping tool (10) with a shaping surface (101) arranged to form a three-dimensional shape, in particular a protrusion and / or recess, of the object; and a feeder (20) configured to feed fibers (30) to the shaping surface (101) via a gas or gas mixture (40), such as air, in order to form at least part of the object. The shaping tool (10) comprises suction openings (103) which allow at least part of the fibers (30) to be sucked to at least part of the shaping surface (101).
