Trigger switch

Abstract

A trigger switch (TS) comprises a trigger (1), a first electroconductive plate (40), first to fourth fixed electrodes (50-53), a brush (73), a printed wiring board (PWB) (72), and a control unit (55). The first to fourth fixed electrodes (50-53) detect, in a non-contact manner, a physical quantity that changes in accordance with the position of a movable member (4) that moves in association with an operation of pressing the trigger (1). The PWB (72) detects a non-contact state or a contact state with the brush (73), which moves in association with the operation of pressing the trigger (1), and the PWB (72) detects that the trigger (1) is in an initial state. When the first to fourth fixed electrodes (50-53) detect the physical quantity that changes in accordance with the position of the movable member (4) and calculate the amount of pressing on the trigger, and the PWB (72) detects a non-contact state with the brush (73), the control unit (55) determines that the trigger (1) is at an initial position.
