Abstract

A binding machine according to the present disclosure comprises: a driver unit that moves in a first direction and presses a staple to fasten the staple to a target object; a motor unit; a control unit; a state acquisition unit that acquires the state of the motor unit; and a position acquisition unit. When an abnormality is detected on the basis of information indicating the position of the driver unit acquired by the position acquisition unit and information indicating the state of the motor unit acquired by the state acquisition unit, the control unit controls the motor unit such that the driver unit stops in accordance with the detected abnormality.
