Abstract

[Problem] To industrially and advantageously produce a crystal useful for semiconductors. [Solution] Provided is a method for producing a crystal by reacting raw materials to grow a crystal, wherein a crystal or the like is produced by the production method in which the raw materials include a germanium dioxide powder dissolved or dispersed in water, and the crystal or the like is used in, for example, a semiconductor device (for example, a compound semiconductor electronic device and the like), an electronic component, an electrical apparatus or component, an optical or electrophotographic related device, an industrial member and the like.
