Abstract

Provided are a display device and an electronic device including same. According to some embodiments of the present invention, the display device comprises: a lens; a display panel disposed on one side surface of the lens to display an image according to digital video data; a reflective member disposed inside the lens to reflect the image displayed on the display panel to provide same to one eye of a user; a control unit for configuring a light-blocking area in which the image's object is located on the basis of the digital video data, and generating binary data in which the light-blocking area and a transmission area other than the light-blocking area are distinguished; and an active light-blocking member for blocking light in the light blocking area and transmitting light in the transmission area according to the binary data.
