Interface device for efficient container management and fluid transfer, and container comprising the same

Abstract

The present invention describes an interface device (100) for a container (200), preferably a barrel, for fluid handling and operations in a sealed manner, wherein the interface device comprises a coupling element (102) configured to be (securely) inserted into an opening (bung hole) (202) of the container (200); a transfer element (104) configured to enable fluid transfer through an inlet / outlet port, preferably the transfer element (104) comprising a central opening (106) configured to receive the inlet / outlet port; and a sealing element (108) configured to create a sealed connection between the coupling element (102) and the opening (202) of the container (200); wherein the sealing element (108) is configured to contact an inner surface (204) of the opening (202) for creating an airtight or fluid-tight-seal when the interface device (100) engaged with the container (200), and wherein the interface device (100) is configured to facilitate the storage, transportation, and transfer of fluids, such as beverages or spirits, to and out of the container (200) under a controlled environment. Further, the present invention describes a container comprising at least one interface device.
