Abstract

The invention relates to a Sponge-like applicator for applying cosmetics to the skin, wherein the applicator has an imaginary longitudinal axis in the direction of its greatest extension and is formed from at least two applicator sections which are made wholly or partly of a different material than the respective other applicator section and / or have a different texture than the respective other applicator section, each applicator section forming at least one application surface and the applicator sections lying one behind the other in the direction of the longitudinal axis, characterized in that the second applicator section is wider than the first applicator section in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the applicator, preferably all around, ideally by at least 6%, better by at least 12%.
