Abstract

The invention relates to optical article intended to be worn in front of an eye of a person comprising at least: (a) a base element having a front main surface and a rear main surface, said front main surface comprising: (a1) a refraction area having a refractive power based on a prescription for said eye of the person; and (a2) a plurality of optical elements having an optical function different from the optical function of the refraction area, (b) at least a photochromic stack coated on the rear main surface of the base element, said photochromic stack comprising at least (b1) one photochromic layer including at least one photochromic compound which is selected to be able to reversibly switch from a deactivated state corresponding to a bleached state to an activated state corresponding to a colored state when an electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength of greater than a predetermined wavelength is applied, wherein said photochromic stack has a mark of 0 or 1 in a crosshatch adhesion test as defined according to standard ASTM D3359-93. The invention also relates to its method of manufacturing and an eyewear.
