AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing grinding equipment with a single spindle cannot meet the needs of various processes, and tool changing is complicated, costly, and has a high failure rate.

Method used

A stop module is installed on the output shaft of the electric spindle. The electric spindle is locked through the meshing parts and the drive module, which facilitates automatic tool changing, reduces tool changing time, and lowers the failure rate.

🎯Benefits of technology

It enables automatic tool changing for various cutting tools, with short tool changing time, low failure rate, and reduced equipment manufacturing costs.

Abstract

Disclosed are a grinding device and a six-axis grinding robot. The grinding device comprises a housing, and an electric spindle is fixedly installed inside the housing. The electric spindle comprises two output ends used for mounting tool shanks and tools. At least one of the output ends is provided with a stop module. The stop module comprises a first stop member fixed on the output end. A second stop member is provided on an outer side of the first stop member, and the second stop member is connected to a drive module. The drive module is used for driving the second stop member to move along an axial direction of the electric spindle and cooperate with the first stop member to lock the electric spindle. The drive module is located within the housing. In the present invention, by providing the stop module on an output shaft of the electric spindle, the electric spindle can be locked to facilitate tool replacement on the electric spindle, such that the grinding device can use three or more types of tools, and automatic tool changing can be achieved with short tool-changing time and low failure rate, thereby greatly reducing equipment manufacturing costs.
