Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for treating a polymeric material (PM) comprising a polyamide PA6 based polymer as component (PA-1) and a polyamide PA66 based polymer as component (PA-2), the process comprising subjecting a mixture (M-0) comprising the polymeric material (PM) and the solvent composition (SC) to conditions (D1) for at least partially depolymerizing component (PA-1) and / or component (PA-2), (D1) comprising a depolymerization temperature T(D1) and a depolymerization time t(D1) obtaining a mixture (M-1) comprising the solvent composition (SC), soluble oligomers and optionally monomers of component (PA-1) and / or (PA-2), and optionally insoluble components; optionally separating the insoluble component from mixture (M-1) at a temperature T2 obtaining mixture (M-S) comprising the insoluble components, and mixture (M-1a) comprising the solvent composition (SC) and soluble oligomers and optionally monomers of component (PA-1) and / or (PA-2); cooling mixture (M-1) or mixture (M-1a) to a temperature T3 and separating the insoluble oligomers of component (PA-2) from mixture (M-1*) or mixture (M-1a*) obtaining mixture (M-2) comprising the insoluble oligomers of component (PA-2), and mixture (M-3) comprising the solvent composition (SC) and soluble monomers and optionally oligomers of component (PA-1). Furthermore, the present invention is directed to the use of a mixture obtainable or obtained by a process according to the present invention, for preparing a polyamide.
