A sleeve (200) for use with a printing plate, such as a printing sleeve or an adaptor sleeve, with an outer surface (210) and with an inner surface (260), said sleeve being configured to be mounted on an adapter or on a printing mandrel by aid of a gas cushion provided between the inner surface of the sleeve and the adapter or printing mandrel, respectively, wherein the sleeve (200) comprises an electrically conductive compressible cylindrical inner layer (230); an electrically conductive cylindrical outer layer (220); an intermediate structure (250) between said inner layer and said outer layer; an electrical connection means (300) extending through said intermediate structure (250) to electrically connect said inner layer (230) and said outer layer (220); wherein the electrical connection means (300) is configured so that it is at least partially compressible together with the inner layer (230) during mounting by aid of a gas cushion.
