Method and apparatus for implementing intelligent identification of tool breakage

Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of image processing, and discloses a method and apparatus for implementing intelligent identification of tool breakage. The method comprises: upon determining, according to a tool image, a target ROI region containing a tool to be inspected, performing a grayscale conversion operation on the target ROI region to obtain an initial grayscale image; performing a predetermined image processing operation on the initial grayscale image to obtain a processed grayscale image; after all edge contours of the processed grayscale image have been extracted, determining a center point corresponding to each edge contour, and computing a mean center point of all the center points; and determining, according to a region between the mean center point and all edge points of the processed grayscale image, a pixel threshold used as a basis for detecting a breakage condition of the tool to be inspected.
