Abstract

Provided is a method for producing S-adenosylmethionine. The method comprises: using Saccharomyces cerevisiae capable of producing S-adenosylmethionine as a production strain; carrying out fermentation culture in a fermentation medium to obtain S-adenosylmethionine; and when the culture reaches a mid-log growth phase, starting to supplement a mixture of DL-methionine and betaine. The technical solution can greatly reduce the proportion of decarboxylated adenosylmethionine during fermentation, increase the yield of S-adenosylmethionine, reduce the difficulty of subsequent purification and the fermentation cost of S-adenosylmethionine, is simple and easy to implement, is environmentally friendly, achieves efficient production of adenosylmethionine, and has important industrial application value.
