Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle door (1) for a motor vehicle, having a handle element (3) located above a door sill (6) on the outside of the door, an electrically unlockable lock which is integrated into the vehicle door (1), and an operating element, wherein the operating element is linked to the handle element (3), and wherein the lock can be unlocked by means of the operating element and the handle element (3) is detachably mounted to the vehicle door (1), wherein the handle element (3) is equipped with at least one mounting aid (20, 21) and the handle element (3) forms a pre-assembled unit.
