System and method for organising data in a standard-compliant manner

Abstract

The invention relates to a system comprising: i) a first unit comprising: ia) a first storage unit for storing a secret, the secret being usable by means of a secret key, and the first unit not possessing the secret key, and ib) a first processor unit for requesting the secret key from a second unit; and ii) the second unit comprising: iia) a second storage unit for storing the secret key (K-ex), the secret key being stored in the second unit in a trusted manner in accordance with a security standard, and iib) a second processor unit for deriving a key from the secret key and for providing the derived key to the first unit such that the secret can be at least temporarily used by means of the key derived from the secret key.
