Abstract

The invention relates to a brake device (10), to a vehicle (130) having a brake device, and to a use of a brake device, the brake device having a rotor part (14), which is mounted so as to be rotatable about a rotational axis (16) and comprises a shaft (20) positioned in the rotational axis (12); a stator part (18); and an actuator device (26), the stator part (18) comprising at least one brake shoe (24) and an exciter device (28) having an exciter coil (30) with windings (32) for generating a primary magnetic field. The brake shoe (24) is equipped with at least one opening (36), in which at least one part of the excitation coil (30) is provided, said part having windings (32). The primary magnetic field passes through both the stator part (18) with the brake shoe (24) and the rotor part (14) such that eddy currents are generated when the rotor part (14) rotates.
