Abstract

An electrochemical probe for cancer cell removal comprising an applicator and a DC voltage generator. The applicator may comprise a distal end configured to be inserted into at least a portion of a cancerous tissue, the distal end of the applicator carrying an array of electrodes, the array of electrodes comprising a working electrode with a spiral and planar configuration attached to the distal end of the applicator; and a reference electrode with a spiral and planar configuration attached to the distal end of the applicator while being in parallel and co-central with the working electrode, wherein a distance between the working electrode and the reference electrode is between 2 mm and 15 mm.
