AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

The existing lubrication process for the sliding portion between the crosshead and housing in booster pumps requires disassembly, is time-consuming, and poses a risk of wear band damage due to contact with supply holes.

Method used

A lubrication system with an oil supply passage that delivers lubricant to the sliding portion between the housing and crosshead through the crosshead, eliminating the need for disassembly and reducing wear band damage.

Benefits of technology

Enables efficient and timely lubrication without disassembling the drive unit, reducing operator burden and preventing wear band damage.

Abstract

The present invention comprises a drive unit and a booster pump driven by the drive unit. The drive unit includes: a housing having a hollow shape; an eccentric shaft unit rotatably supported about a first axis line along the horizontal direction inside the housing; a drive motor capable of rotating the eccentric shaft unit; a rotating body which has a second axis line deviated from the first axis line in the radial direction and is integrally provided on the outer circumferential part of the eccentric shaft unit; a crosshead which transmits linear reciprocating power to a piston of the booster pump by being supported so as to be movable along the vertical direction inside the housing; a link unit in which an upper annular part thereof is supported so as to be relatively rotatable by the outer circumferential part of the rotating body and a lower annular part thereof is supported so as to be rotatable about a shaft part along the horizontal direction of the crosshead; a wear band attached to a thick part of the crosshead; and an oil supply passage through which a lubricant can be supplied to a sliding unit between the housing and the wear band via the interior of the crosshead.
