Abstract
The present application is directed to a filter medium including: at least one membrane layer including polyethylene; and at least one support layer having a coupling with the membrane layer, the support layer including a plurality of non-woven fibers, where at least one fiber includes: a core including polyethylene terephthalate, and a shell that at least partially encapsulates the core, where the shell includes polyethylene.
