Abstract

The present application provides an energy storage device and an energy storage system, the energy storage device comprising a first module, a second module, and a thermal management line. The first module comprises a first compartment body and a battery device, and the first compartment body accommodates the battery device. The second module is stacked on an upper side of the first module, and the second module comprises a heat exchange assembly. The heat exchange assembly comprises a fan and a heat sink, and the fan is used for driving air at the heat sink to flow upward. The thermal management line places the heat sink in communication with the battery device. In the described structure, since the second module comprising the heat exchange assembly is stacked on the upper side of the first module comprising the battery device, and the fan in the heat exchange assembly is used for driving air at the heat sink to flow upward, heat is discharged upward from the top of the energy storage device. The heat discharged from the energy storage device is not likely to accumulate near the energy storage device and can be quickly dissipated, thereby reducing the possibility of a heat island effect occurring near the energy storage device and allowing the energy storage device to have a good heat dissipation capability.
