AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In the Spine-Leaf network architecture of data centers, existing technologies are unable to effectively solve the transmission conflicts and congestion problems between message streams, especially under low traffic conditions, where imbalances and transmission conflicts may occur due to the 5-tuple hash calculation.

Method used

By announcing routes carrying priority or packet information between communication devices, load balancing is achieved using different interfaces and forwarding planes, ensuring that traffic in the same group is routed by priority and assigned to different interfaces, thus avoiding transmission conflicts.

Benefits of technology

It reduces transmission conflicts in data centers and improves the reliability and efficiency of traffic transmission, especially in low-traffic situations, avoiding congestion caused by transmission conflicts.

Abstract

The present application belongs to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a traffic load balancing method and apparatus, and a storage medium. The method comprises: a first communication apparatus advertising a first route and a second route to a second communication apparatus, the first route comprising at least one of priority information of the first route and first group information, and the second route comprising at least one of priority information of the second route and the first group information, wherein the first route and the second route comprise the same first route prefix and different next hops, the first group information indicates a first group, a first AC-side interface used by the first communication apparatus to access a first host belongs to the first group, and a first IP address of the first host matches the first route prefix in the first route. On the basis of at least one of the priority information and the first group information, the second communication apparatus can select a route from the first route and the second route to forward a message, a destination address of which is the first IP address of the first host, thereby implementing traffic load balancing.
