Abstract

The present invention enables an information processing device in which a universal printing program is incorporated to handle a new printing aspect. An assistance program 42 that is executed by a PC 1 receives a setting of poster printing which is not supported by a universal printing program 41. Upon receipt of printing instructions with the setting to perform poster printing, the assistance program 42 generates, according to the poster printing setting, a plurality of divided images that are obtained by dividing, into pieces, an image of interest which is acquired from the universal printing program 41 and which is to be printed and that are each adjusted to match the output paper size. The assistance program 42 causes the PC 1 to transmit printing data so that the plurality of generated divided images are respectively printed on different sheets of paper.
