The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. In the method, a first terminal device may determine, on the basis of a communication delay (i.e., a first delay corresponding to a logical channel group) between a first terminal device and at least one second terminal device, remaining time corresponding to the logical channel group. In this way, the time of transmission of a data packet on a link between the first terminal device and the second terminal device can be taken into account when a DSR is triggered, thereby facilitating timely scheduling by a network device and ensuring the transmission reliability of data of the second terminal device.
