Abstract
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a method and apparatus for receiving a reference signal, a method and apparatus for transmitting a reference signal, and a communication system. The apparatus for receiving a reference signal is applied to a terminal device. The terminal device is configured with an artificial intelligence model or function used for beam management, and the beam management comprises spatial-domain beam prediction. The apparatus comprises a first receiver. The first receiver is configured with a first resource set used for performance monitoring, and a second resource set and a third resource set used for inference; and is configured to receive, in a predetermined time sequence, a reference signal from the first resource set and a reference signal from the second resource set. The terminal device measures the first resource set to acquire reference real data and / or calculate a performance metric; the terminal device measures the second resource set, wherein a result of the measurement is used as an input of the artificial intelligence model or function; and the terminal device does not measure the third resource set, wherein the third resource set is used as an output of the artificial intelligence model or function to predict a beam. A beam corresponding to the first resource set is the same as a beam corresponding to the third resource set, or the beam corresponding to the first resource set is a subset of the beam corresponding to the third resource set.
