AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing methods struggle to accurately determine the optimal target particle size of granulated particles for sintered ore production, as the basic physical properties, brand, and blending ratio of ore raw materials fluctuate daily, affecting operational efficiency and productivity.

Method used

A method and information processing apparatus that adjusts the operating conditions of a granulator to determine the optimal target particle size by measuring particle size and sintering machine indicators, using sensors to analyze time-series data and adjust parameters like water amount, rotation speed, and residence time.

Benefits of technology

Enables the production of high-quality sintered ore with improved operational efficiency by determining the optimal target particle size, even with fluctuating raw material conditions, through real-time adjustments and sensor integration.

Abstract

A method for determining a target particle diameter of granulated particles according to the present invention includes: an adjustment step for changing an operation condition of a granulator from a standard condition and granulating a sintering starting material into granulated particles by the granulator; a first acquisition step for measuring particle diameters of the granulated particles on a conveyor for conveying the granulated particles from the granulator to a sintering machine and acquiring information on the particle diameters of the granulated particles in association with the operation condition of the granulator; a second acquisition step for sintering the granulated particles by the sintering machine and acquiring information on the operation index of the sintering machine in association with the information on the particle diameters of the granulated particles; and a determination step for determining the particle diameter of the granulated particles when the operation index of the sintering machine satisfies a specific condition as a target particle diameter of granulated particles to be granulated by the granulator on the basis of the information acquired in the second acquisition step.
