AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Polyorganosiloxane produced using alkoxy silane contains a large number of silanol groups, leading to increased viscosity under high-temperature conditions, which adversely affects its properties and makes it difficult to implement target products.

Method used

A method involving the production of polyorganosiloxane by reacting alkoxy silanes and alkenyl siloxane, followed by capping with a capping agent to modify silanol groups into siloxane groups, adjusting the molar ratios of M, D, T, and Q units, and optimizing the production process to minimize viscosity increase and improve stability.

Benefits of technology

The method results in polyorganosiloxane with improved high-temperature stability, long-term storage stability, and enhanced optical properties by minimizing viscosity increase and maintaining mechanical strength and durability.

Abstract

Provided are a method of producing polyorganosiloxane, the method including: producing a first polyorganosiloxane by reacting a first alkoxy silane, a second alkoxy silane, a third alkoxy silane, and an alkenyl siloxane; and producing a second polyorganosiloxane by reacting the first polyorganosiloxane with a capping agent, wherein, in the producing of the second polyorganosiloxane, a content of the capping agent is greater than 10 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of a solid content of the first polyorganosiloxane; and a polyorganosiloxane composition produced by the method.
