[0006] The indoor climate is affected by many different factors. One such factor is for example the sound or acoustics of a room. Depending on the function of the room different acoustic properties are desired and being able to control how sound travel is key in providing an optimal acoustic experience in a room.

[0015] In a first aspect there is disclosed an acoustic panel. The acoustic panel comprises a frame defining an opening. The opening can be described comprising an opening width w0, an opening height h0and an opening thickness t0. A sound absorbing arrangement is arranged in the opening of the frame.

[0016] The sound absorbing arrangement comprises at least a first sound absorbing element and a second sound absorbing element. The elements are arranged next to each other and as they abut against each other an abutment line is formed. Such an abutment line should be understood broadly, i.e. it can be considered an abutment zone or an interface area where the sound absorbing arrangement changes from the first sound absorbing element to the second sound absorbing element. As will be understood herein elements or gaps may be arranged between the first and second sound absorbing element and thus the abutment line may comprise such element or gaps for such embodiments.

Thus, in order to mitigate such issues, the acoustic panel further comprises a support element, wherein the support element comprises a cover flange. The cover flange is arranged on at least a part of the abutment line. The cover flange covers at least a part of the abutment line and at least a part of the first sound absorbing element and at least a part of the second sound absorbing element next to the at least part of the abutment line.

Mineral wool materials are generally relative compressible which may result that the sound absorbing elements fall out of commonly known acoustic panels due to the compressible nature of the mineral wool, where sound absorbing elements formed of more rigid materials such as foam, wood or cement based materials typically will stay in the frame due to their stability and / or frictional fit characteristics. Such sound absorbing element formed of stone wool may for example in one embodiment comprise a density between 40 - 200 kg / m3, such as 80 - 150 kg / m3, for example 90 kg / m3.

[0029] The sound absorbing elements can for example be formed by a process comprising collecting mineral fibres and binder entrained in air on a travelling collector to form a web, curing the binder to form a bonded sound absorbing element having a density of 40 to 200 kg / m3 (which may also be referred to as a sound absorbing element), cutting the bonded sound absorbing element in a plane parallel to the bonded sound absorbing element, smoothing the cut surface by abrasion, and applying the facing or fabric to the cut and abraded surface of the bonded sound absorbing element. The acoustic panel (1 ; 64; 65; 66; 70) according to claim 1 , 2 or 3, wherein the support element (14; 75; 76) comprises a first retaining flange (12), which extends from the first side (9’) of the support flange (9) with a distance di to the cover flange (8), and wherein a part of the first sound absorbing element (5; 71) is received between the cover flange (8) and the first retaining flange (12).

The acoustic panel (1 ; 64; 65; 66; 70) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the support element (14; 75; 76) comprises a second retaining flangeP7579PC0025(13), which extends from a second side (9”) of the support flange (9) with a distance da to the cover flange (8), and wherein a part of the second sound absorbing element (6; 72) is received between the cover flange (8) and the second retaining flange (13).

The acoustic panel (1 ; 64; 65; 66; 70) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein a cover recess (41) is provided in the frame (2; 74) and where the cover recess (41) extends around the frame (2; 74), and wherein the cover sheet (40) comprises a cover height and a cover width corresponding to the distance between the cover recess (41 ) as it extends around the frame (2; 74), and wherein the cover sheet (40) further comprises at least one attachment element (42) for fastening the cover sheet (40) to the frame (2; 74) by connecting the at least one fastening element (42) in the cover recess (41).

9. The acoustic panel (1 ; 64; 65; 66; 70) according to any one of the claims 1 - 8 wherein the first (5; 71) and second sound absorbing elements (6; 72) are formed of stone wool with a density of between 40 - 200 kg / m3, such as 80 - 150 kg / m3, for example 90 kg / m3.

A method for providing an acoustic panel (1 ; 64; 65; 66; 70), wherein the method comprises the steps of- providing a frame (2; 74) defining an opening (3),P7579PC0026- arranging a sound absorbing arrangement (4) in the opening (3) of the frame (2; 74), wherein the sound absorbing arrangement (4) comprises at least a first sound absorbing element (5; 71) and a second sound absorbing element (6; 72) arranged next to each other forming an abutment line,- arranging a support element (14; 75; 76) comprising a cover flange (8) in the acoustic panel such that the cover flange (8) is arranged on at least a part of the abutment line such that the cover flange (8) covers the at least part of the abutment line and at least a part of the first sound absorbing element (5; 71) and at least a part of the second sound absorbing element (6; 72) next to the at least part of the abutment line.

The method according to claim 10, comprising the following steps in sequence - arranging the first sound absorbing element (5; 71) in the opening of the frame (2; 74),- arranging the support element (14; 75; 76) in the opening of the frame, and - arranging the second sound absorbing element (6; 72) in the opening of the frame (2; 74).
