Abstract
Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] CONTACTLESS FOREHEAD CAP OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The invention, as stated in the present descriptive memorandum, refers to a non-contact forehead cap that provides advantages and features, which are described in detail below.
[0004] The object of the present invention is a cap whose configuration, among other advantages, is specially designed to cover the user's head, including the forehead, but without any contact with that part, improving its functionality, especially in terms of thermal comfort and hygiene.
[0005] FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The field of application of the present invention falls within the textile industry sector, more specifically in the manufacture of clothing accessories, focusing particularly on those intended to cover or protect the head, such as caps, visors or hats, commonly used in sports, fashion and work contexts.
[0007] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0008] Currently there are numerous types of caps and head accessories whose common characteristic is their adjustment to the head by means of a band that remains in direct contact with the forehead of the user, bordering the head and resting on it, especially when the cap has a visor, since this is designed to shade the eyes and face, so its position to achieve this objective usually coincides with the forehead.
[0009] The problem is that this type of fastening often causes discomfort due to heat, sweating, skin irritation, marks on the forehead, and even the proliferation of dermatological problems in people with sensitive skin. The objective of the present invention is to develop a cap that effectively solves this problem by eliminating direct contact between the cap and the user's forehead.
[0010] Furthermore, and with reference to the current state of the art, it should be noted that, at least as far as the applicant is concerned, there is no knowledge of any other cap, nor any other invention of similar application, that presents technical, structural and constitutive characteristics equal or similar to those of the one claimed herein.
[0011] EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
[0012] The contactless forehead cap proposed by the invention is configured as an optimal solution to achieve the aforementioned objective, with the characterizing details that make it possible and that distinguish it being conveniently included in the final claims that accompany this description.
[0013] Specifically, what the invention proposes, as previously mentioned, is a cap designed to cover the user's head, including the forehead, and which may or may not have a visor. It is essentially distinguished by a configuration in which the cap is held without any contact with the user's forehead, which represents a significant technical improvement over conventional caps, intended to increase its functionality, especially in terms of thermal comfort and hygiene.
[0014] As noted, the main improvement lies in eliminating direct contact between the cap and the user's forehead. This design allows for a greater feeling of coolness and comfort by avoiding direct pressure on the forehead, a highly sensitive area used by the human body to regulate temperature.
[0015] To achieve this, the cap incorporates features that separate the front portion, preferably equipped with a visor, from the forehead. This separation creates a gap of approximately two centimeters, forming an air chamber that promotes better ventilation and prevents sweat buildup. Furthermore, from a dermatological perspective, the absence of direct contact between the cap and the wearer's forehead minimizes the risk of irritation, making it ideal for people with sensitive, atopic, or acne-prone skin. It also improves hygiene by preventing the accumulation of sweat and dirt in the contact area.
[0016] Ideally, the front of the cap is made of translucent materials, with varying degrees of opacity, which protects the wearer from solar radiation without causing the common uneven sun exposure or "white foreheads." This feature makes it especially useful for people who spend extended periods outdoors.
[0017] To this end, and more specifically, the cap of the invention essentially comprises a first body or main body with a semi-spherical shape, which is the one that makes contact with the user's head, attaching to it in such a way that it surrounds it without coming into contact with the forehead, and a second body or front body, which optionally includes the visor, which is joined to the main body by the front part of it, there being a gap of separation between both bodies in such a way that this front body is located on the user's forehead but without being in contact with it.
[0018] Preferably, the distance that defines the described separation gap in the front portion of the two bodies of the cap is, approximately and without limitation, about two centimeters.
[0019] Furthermore, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cap incorporates a ventilation system consisting of one or more through openings distributed in the front and / or side area, which allow the passage of air to be redirected towards the forehead area, as well as the areas located laterally at the distal ends of the front separation gap.
[0020] This creates a greater feeling of freshness during use, especially in hot conditions or prolonged exposure to the sun.
[0021] Finally, the cap is equipped with a conventional adjustment mechanism that allows it to be adapted to different sizes or head shapes using elements such as elastic straps, clasps or Velcro, ensuring a comfortable and stable fit without the need to exert pressure or cover the forehead.
[0022] This innovative structural configuration allows the cap to fulfill its protective function effectively and comfortably, making it especially attractive to people who until now avoided using this type of garment due to the discomfort associated with contact with the forehead.
[0023] DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0024] To complement the description being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, this descriptive document is accompanied, as an integral part thereof, by sheets of drawings in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes:
[0025] Figures 1 and 2 show schematic views, in front and side elevation respectively, of an example of the embodiment of the cap without contact on the forehead, the object of the invention, showing its external configuration;
[0026] Figure number 3.- Shows a schematic cross-sectional view, according to a longitudinal cut, of the example of the cap of the invention shown in the preceding figures, showing its interior configuration, especially the gap defined between the substantially semi-spherical main body and the front body;
[0027] Figures 4 and 5 show two views, in top and bottom perspective respectively, of the example of the cap of the invention shown in figures 1 to 3; and
[0028] Figure number 6.- Shows a schematic side elevation view of the cap, in this case represented in the position of use on the head of a user, showing how it covers the forehead without coming into contact with it.
[0029] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, an example of a non-limiting embodiment of the non-contact forehead cap of the invention can be observed, which comprises what is described in detail below.
[0030] Thus, as can be seen in these figures, the cap (10) of the invention is essentially configured from two elementary parts:
[0031] - a substantially semi-spherical main body (2) made of fabric, leather, knit or other suitable material, configured to surround the head without covering or coming into contact with the user's forehead, adjusting itself or by means of a conventional adjustment mechanism (5) configured to allow adaptation to different sizes, and which in the example shown is done by means of elastic straps, although this does not imply a limitation; and
[0032] - a front body (3) made of a rigid or semi-rigid material, attached to the main body (2) on the outside and front of the same and configured so that it covers and encompasses the area of the user's forehead without coming into contact with it, being located in front of the forehead and separated from it by means of a separation gap (1) provided for this purpose between the substantially semi-spherical main body (2) and the front body (3) and defined in at least a portion of both bodies in the front part of the cap (10).
[0033] Referring to Figure 6, it can be seen how, while the substantially semi-spherical main body (2) fits around the user's head without covering the forehead area, the front body (3) is lower at its lower edge (3.1) than the main body (2), so that it does cover the forehead area but without making contact with it thanks to the separation gap (1).
[0034] Preferably, the separation gap (1) provided in the front portion of the two bodies (2, 3) of the cap (10) has a width (a) in its central area of about two centimeters, which allows the sun protection function to be performed without direct contact.
[0035] In any case, this separation gap (1) acts as an air chamber, improving ventilation and preventing the accumulation of heat or sweat in the frontal area. Preferably, in the central part of the frontal body (3), frontal ventilation openings (6) are provided that communicate with the space defined by this separation gap (1). And, additionally or alternatively, other ventilation openings are also provided at the distal ends (4) of the frontal body (3) that communicate with the separation gap (1), allowing air to pass to the forehead and adjacent areas.
[0036] Optionally, the cap (10) may also include side openings (8) made in the substantially semi-spherical main body (2).
[0037] In any case, the front body (3) of the cap (10), which may optionally include a visor (7) on the outside, preferably, also has means to allow sun exposure by using translucent materials included in the manufacture of said front body (3) or parts thereof, different degrees of opacity being able to be used, for example by including different removable layers to regulate the degree of translucency, which allows the user to be protected from solar radiation without causing the usual uneven exposure marks.
[0038] The combination of these elements provides a greater feeling of freshness and prevents the appearance of discomforts typical of prolonged use of traditional caps, such as irritations, marks or excess moisture.
[0039] In addition, the front body can incorporate translucent materials with varying degrees of opacity, which offers sun protection without creating visible differences in facial tanning.
[0040] Thanks to this design, the cap (10) is especially suitable for people with sensitive skin or dermatological conditions, and represents a more hygienic and comfortable alternative to conventional caps. Its application extends to the sports, work, and recreational sectors.
[0041] Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the manner of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to elaborate further on its explanation so that any expert in the field can understand its scope and the advantages derived from it. It should also be noted that a preferred embodiment has been cited as an example, and that the materials used in its manufacture, as well as the methods of application and all accessory details that may arise, are independent of the object of the invention, provided they do not affect its essential nature.
