Description

Secondary battery direct gun power supply system

[0001] The present invention relates to a secondary battery direct gun power supply system.

[0002] Modern military, police, and special operations equipment is equipped with various electronic devices. These electronic devices include various power-requiring components such as sights, optical scopes, laser target designators, night vision goggles (NVGs), communication devices, video transmission devices, and sensor modules.

[0003] Most of these electronic devices are equipped with independent power supplies or are powered by battery packs mounted on the devices themselves. However, since power must be managed individually for each electronic device, frequent replacement or charging of batteries is required, and there is a problem that the operation of the equipment is interrupted if the battery is depleted during an operation.

[0004] Referring to Korean Published Patent No. 10-2025-0001470, etc., conventionally, a primary battery (disposable battery) or a small secondary battery (rechargeable battery) was attached to each piece of equipment to supply power to electronic equipment. However, this method has the following limitations.

[0005] First, since battery management is required for each piece of equipment, multiple spare batteries must be carried, which increases equipment weight and causes inconvenience during operations. Second, because the battery consumption rates vary by piece of equipment, some devices require replacement as their batteries discharge during use, while others remain usable, resulting in reduced energy efficiency.

[0006] Third, since firearms or equipment often need to be disassembled for battery replacement, speed during operations is reduced, and exposure to the external environment (dust, moisture, etc.) can lower the reliability of the equipment.

[0007] To address these issues, a "direct power supply method" has been proposed in which a high-capacity secondary battery is mounted at a specific location on the firearm and connected via a cable to directly supply power to multiple mounted electronic devices. This method can increase the power management efficiency of the entire system by reducing the use of individual batteries for each device.

[0008] However, existing direct power supply methods have issues that make it difficult to provide stable power on the battlefield, such as the simple battery attachment / detachment structure or the insufficient waterproofing and dustproofing performance of the cable connections. Additionally, there are instances where the battery detaches or contact failures occur because the battery mounting device fails to adequately withstand shocks, vibrations, and rearward recoil.

[0009] Therefore, there is a need for technology that can stably secure a high-capacity secondary battery mounted on a firearm at various locations (such as the rear of the firearm or the front of the barrel shroud), protect the cable connection between the electronic equipment and the battery unit from the external environment, and increase power supply stability by making the cable length adjustable.

[0010] In addition, it is necessary to develop a secondary battery direct gun power supply system equipped with a structure that uses magnetic components, elastic absorbers, friction members, etc., to stably maintain the battery connection even under shock and vibration and prevent the ingress of moisture and foreign substances.

[0011] Embodiments of the present invention aim to provide a secondary battery direct gun power supply system capable of stably supplying power.

[0012] In addition, embodiments of the present invention aim to provide a secondary battery direct gun power supply system capable of stable battery coupling.

[0013] In addition, embodiments of the present invention aim to provide a secondary battery direct gun power supply system in which the position where the battery is coupled can be adjusted as needed.

[0015] In addition, embodiments of the present invention aim to provide a secondary battery direct gun power supply system capable of cable length adjustment.
