AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing TDD systems in 5G communication face limitations such as reduced uplink coverage, increased latency, and reduced capacity due to limited uplink resource allocation, necessitating improved methods for simultaneous downlink and uplink transmission.

Method used

Implementing subband non-overlapping full-duplex (SBFD) communication in wireless communication systems, where hybrid ARQ process IDs are managed based on symbol types, allowing efficient transmission and reception of signals over SBFD symbols.

Benefits of technology

Enhances uplink coverage, reduces latency, and improves system capacity by enabling flexible and dynamic resource allocation in unpaired spectrum, supporting advanced duplex communication schemes.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, specifically, to a method and a wireless device therefor, wherein: a configuration for an SBFD symbol set and a non-SBFD symbol set in a wireless frame are received, the SBFD symbol set including a DL symbol or a flexible symbol in which a UL subband is configured; and a DL signal is received in a slot including the SBFD symbol, reception of the DL signal also being permitted in the UL subband in the slot if an SSB is configured on symbols in the slot, and the DL signal being received only outside the UL subband in the slot if the SSB is not configured on the symbols in the slot.
