[0003] PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITION
[0004] Field of the Invention
[0005] The present invention relates to a personal care composition. Particularly, the present invention 5 relates to a personal care composition comprising acrylic polymeric thickener, glycinate surfactant, and beads. It was surprisingly found that the beads were capable of being stably suspended and evenly dispersed in the composition when acrylic polymeric thickener was included in the composition at specific range of weight ratio of acrylic polymeric thickener to beads.
[0006] Background of the Invention
[0007] Traditional personal care compositions are provided in formulations such as skin cleanser, toner, lotion, cream, etc. To meet the emotional demand of consumers, there are increasing attempts to modify the traditional form of personal care compositions to give the user visual enjoying and esthetic perception.
[0008] 15
[0009] Among the attempts, beads in personal care composition may provide visual differentiation, new esthetic appea.l and also unique texture when applied to the skin of the consumers. However, visible beads may be difficult to stably suspend and disperse in the personal care compositions, particularly for those personal care compositions containing glycinate surfactant.
[0010] 20
[0011] Therefore, the present inventors have recognized a need to develop a personal care composition containing glycinate surfactant in which the beads may be stably suspended and dispersed. It was surprisingly found that only when acrylic polymeric thickener was incorporated into compositions containing glycinate surfactant at a specific weight ratio of acrylic polymeric 25 thickener to beads, were the beads capable of being stably suspended and evenly dispersed in the composition.
