Abstract
Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] TITLE OF THE INVENTION: ELECTRIC OR HYBRID MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING A CROSS BEAM INCLUDING AN INTEGRATED DUAL-CHARGE MODULE
[0003] The present invention claims priority from French application No. FR2500635 filed on January 22, 2025, the content of which (text, drawings and claims) is incorporated herein by reference.
[0004]
[0001] The invention relates to the arrangement of electronic components of electric or hybrid motor vehicles, in particular the arrangement of the integrated dual charging module.
[0005]
[0002] Prior art patent application DE102011113198 is known, describing a vehicle engine compartment comprising a crossmember for mounting an electric machine. The crossmember extends transversely across the vehicle and is supported by the vehicle body via bearings. The crossmember has a central portion containing a cavity for housing a power electronic device. The cavity is parallelepiped-shaped in the transverse direction. However, a drawback remains. The crossmember has only a single cavity for positioning the power electronic device. However, in the case of an electric or hybrid vehicle, there are essential components that must be positioned near this crossmember, namely the on-board charger, the DC / DC converter, and the inverter. If the crossmember consists of only one of these components, then it is necessary to arrange the other components around said crossmember, and thus reduce the available space in the engine compartment of said vehicle.
[0006]
[0003] The objective of the present invention is to remedy these disadvantages and to increase the available space around a crossmember of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle to facilitate the arrangement of the components of said vehicle.
[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes an electric or hybrid motor vehicle comprising a front running gear and a rear running gear whose points of contact with the ground define a base plane defined by a first longitudinal direction corresponding to driving in a straight line, by a second transverse direction orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction and a third vertical direction orthogonal to the first and second directions and is oriented away from the ground, said vehicle comprising an integrated dual charging module comprising an on-board charger and a DC / DC converter, the vehicle comprising a cross member extending along the second direction, characterized in that said cross member has an opening passing through said cross member along the first direction, said integrated dual charging module being positioned in said opening.
[0007]
[0005] Thanks to the invention, the crossmember saves space within the vehicle, which facilitates the arrangement of other components. Furthermore, the integrated dual-load module directly contributes to the rigidity of said crossmember.
[0008]
[0006] Advantageously, said opening has a length between 300 and 350 mm along the first direction, preferably 330 mm.
[0009]
[0007] Advantageously, said opening has a width between 360 and 400 mm along the second direction, preferably 390 mm.
[0010]
[0008] Advantageously, said opening has a height between 120 and 160 mm along the third direction, preferably 140 mm.
[0011]
[0009] Such dimensions allow for easy arrangement of the integrated dual-load module in said crossmember within the vehicle.
[0012]
[0010] Advantageously, said opening includes at least two guide means so that said integrated double-load module slides inside said opening in the first direction.
[0013]
[0011] The guiding means facilitate the sliding of the integrated double-load module into said opening.
[0014]
[0012] Preferably, said two guiding means comprise slides.
[0013] The slides, simple to manufacture and easy to arrange in said opening, allow precise and effortless linear guidance.
[0015]
[0014] Preferably, the integrated dual charging module comprises a plurality of electrical connectors positioned on either side of said integrated dual charging module in the first direction.
[0016]
[0015] Thus, the electrical connectors are accessible on both sides of said cross member.
[0017]
[0016] Preferably, the vehicle includes an inverter, said crossmember having a housing, said inverter being positioned in said housing.
[0018]
[0017] This allows more space to be freed up within the vehicle and, consequently, makes it easier to arrange the other components in said vehicle.
[0019]
[0018] The invention will be further detailed by describing non-limiting embodiments, and based on the accompanying figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which:
[0020] - [Fig.1] schematically illustrates an empty crossmember of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle according to one embodiment of the invention;
[0021] - [Fig. 2] schematically illustrates, in a first view, the crossbeam shown in Figure 1, which includes an integrated dual-load mode
[0022] - [Fig.3] schematically illustrates the crossbar shown in figure 2 in an opposite view.
[0023]
[0019] Figure 1 schematically illustrates an empty crossmember 2 of an electric or hybrid vehicle 100 according to an embodiment of the invention. The vehicle 100 comprises a front axle and a rear axle whose points of contact with the ground define a base plane XY defined by a first longitudinal direction X corresponding to straight-line travel, a second transverse direction Y orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction X, and a third vertical direction Z orthogonal to the first direction X and the second direction Y and oriented away from the ground. The vehicle 100 comprises said crossmember 2, which is preferably a motor support crossmember. Optionally, the electric motor is suspended below said crossmember 2 along the third direction Z. The crossmember 2 extends along the second direction Y.Crossmember 2 has an opening 3 that passes completely through said crossmember 2 in the first direction X. Furthermore, said vehicle 100 has an integrated dual charging module 1 positioned in said opening 3. The integrated dual charging module 1, generally called IDCM (Integrated Dual Charging Module), is an electronic component configured to manage the charging of the vehicle 100's battery with alternating current or direct current and to ensure a minimum voltage on the vehicle's electrical system. The integrated dual charging module includes an onboard charger and a direct current / direct current converter, more commonly called a DC / DC converter (Direct Current / Direct Current). In this way, the on-board charger and the DC / DC converter are combined into a single component, namely the integrated dual-charge module 1, which is designed to fit into a single opening, namely opening 3. The on-board charger is an electronic component designed to convert alternating current, for example, from a household electrical outlet or a charging station, into direct current to allow the vehicle's battery 100 to be recharged. The DC / DC converter is an electronic device that adapts the DC voltage from an electrical source so that said DC voltage meets the requirements of a given circuit or output device. This configuration thus frees up space, particularly vertically along the third direction Z.Indeed, in the prior art, the integrated dual-load module 1 is positioned above or below the crossmember 2, which makes it difficult to arrange other components within the vehicle 100. The crossmember 2 according to the invention allows the integrated dual-load module 1 to be integrated within the crossmember 2, so as to free up space around the crossmember 2 while simultaneously strengthening it. In fact, when the integrated dual-load module 1 is positioned in the opening 3, the integrated dual-load module 1 directly contributes to the rigidity of the crossmember 2. The integrated dual-load module 1 is directly inserted into the opening 3 by a technician during assembly, so that the integrated dual-load module 1 slides within the opening 3.To further increase the rigidity of said cross member 2 and free up space around said cross member 2, said cross member 2 preferably includes a housing 5. The vehicle 100 includes an inverter. The inverter is positioned in said housing 5. The inverter is an electronic component whose purpose is to convert the direct current stored in said battery into alternating current to power the vehicle's electrical machine.
[0024]
[0020] By way of example, said opening 3 has a length along the first direction X of between 300 and 350 mm. Preferably, said length is 330 mm. The opening 3 also has a width along the second direction Y. The width is preferably between 360 mm and 400 mm. Even more preferably, said width is 390 mm. Finally, said opening 3 has a height along the third direction Z. The height of said opening is, for example, between 120 mm and 160 mm. Preferably, said height is 140 mm. These dimensions are suitable for allowing the easy arrangement of the integrated dual-load module 1 in said crossmember 2 of a standard motor vehicle as known in the prior art.
[0025]
[0021] In Figure 1, said cross member 2 is shown empty, while Figure 2 illustrates said cross member 2 including said integrated double-load module 1. Similarly, said cross member 2 including said integrated double-load module 1 is illustrated in Figure 3, in a view opposite to said view illustrated in Figure 2. Optionally, said opening includes at least two guide means (not shown in the figures), preferably slides, to facilitate the sliding of said integrated double-load module 1 in said opening 3. Preferably, the guide means are positioned on either side of said opening 3 along the second direction Y. Alternatively, said guide means are positioned on either side of said opening 3 along the third direction Z.Optionally, said integrated dual load module 1 includes a plurality of electrical connectors 4 positioned on either side of said integrated dual load module 1 along the first direction X. Thus, electrical connections are easily established because only the walls positioned opposite each other along the second direction Y are in direct contact with said cross member 2.
