Hands-up system for protecting gold and jewellery shops

Abstract

The invention relates to a device that monitors weights by converting display cabinets into scales, using weight sensor cells to determine the input and output weights. When a weight is removed, the device shows a deficit until the weight is returned or an invoice is issued. The device is linked to an accounting system that receives signals from the sensors to determine the weights and sends the owner daily reports about the remaining weights, sales and carats. When a weight is removed, a security and alert system emits an audio alert and sends details to the owner. A smart information screen in each display cabinet shows the missing weights together with the time, date and weight. The employee makes an adjustment when the weight is removed, and the total missing weight is shown over the course of six or more separate operations, as needed. The smart scale is provided with a camera. When the gold is being purchased, an image of the gold together with an identification card of the salesperson and the weight is captured and sent to the relevant authorities in order to track stolen gold and relieve the merchant of liability. The camera works independently and can be connected to the system. The device regulates the trade of gold and jewellery and helps the owner to monitor goods and stock, thereby dispensing with the need for stocktaking, and prevents theft or fraud by the client or employee, facilitating hiring and dismissal.
