Currency management system, currency processing device, currency management device, and currency management method

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a currency management system, a currency processing device, a currency management device, and a currency management method for managing currency information.

[0002] Conventionally, various currency processing devices have been used. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a device that reads a serial number from each banknote. The serial number is identification information unique to each banknote. If there are two banknotes with the same serial number, it means that at least one of them is a counterfeit banknote. The device described in Patent Document 1 reads the serial number of each banknote when sorting the banknotes and stores it in a list. When a banknote with the same serial number as the one in the list is found, that is, when two banknotes with the same serial number are found, the device displays a warning screen prompting the user for confirmation.

The currency management system according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the management device transmits instruction information instructing the collection of banknotes from the currency processing device, and the currency processing device collects the banknotes to be collected according to the instruction information by storing them in a predetermined storage section of the currency processing device, regardless of the identification result of the banknotes.

The currency management system according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the management device transmits instruction information instructing the currency processing device to reject banknotes, and the currency processing device rejects banknotes that are subject to rejection based on the instruction information, regardless of the identification result of the banknotes.

The currency management system according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that the management device transmits instruction information instructing a change in the processing content of banknotes in the currency processing device, and the currency processing device changes the processing content in the currency processing device for banknotes subject to the change in processing content according to the instruction information and other banknotes.

9. The currency management system according to claim 8, characterized in that the change in processing content includes at least one of the following: a change in the determination threshold for banknotes used for banknote identification, a change in the banknote transport speed, and a change in the banknote transport path.

The currency management system according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the banknote information includes at least one of the following: information relating to the identification result of the rejected banknote; information relating to the physical quantity obtained from the rejected banknote; information relating to the transport status of the rejected banknote; and information relating to the soiling status of the rejected banknote.

11. The currency processing device that transmits the banknote information further transmits device information, which is information about the currency processing device, to the management device, wherein the device information includes at least one of the following: information about the installation location of the currency processing device, information about the specifications of the currency processing device, and information about sensors provided by the currency processing device, as described in any one of claims 1 to 10.

12. The currency management system according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the management device is implemented by the functions of a currency processing device.

13. A currency processing device comprising: a communication unit for transmitting information to a management device for managing information related to rejected banknotes; a banknote processing unit for performing banknote processing; and a control unit for transmitting, via the communication unit, banknote information including the serial number of a rejected banknote processed and rejected by the banknote processing unit, and information obtained when identifying the rejected banknote, to the management device.

14. A currency management device comprising: a communication unit for receiving information from a currency processing unit; a storage unit for storing information relating to rejected banknotes; and a control unit that receives, via the communication unit, the serial number of a rejected banknote that the currency processing unit has rejected after performing currency processing, and banknote information including information acquired when identifying the rejected banknote, and manages the banknote information in association with the serial number.

15. A currency management method characterized by comprising the steps of: a currency processing device performing banknote processing; the currency processing device transmitting to a management device the serial numbers of rejected banknotes rejected during the execution of banknote processing and banknote information including information obtained when identifying the rejected banknotes; and the management device managing the banknote information received from the currency processing device in association with the serial numbers.
