Abstract
Description
Information Providing Device, Information Providing Method, and Program
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an information providing device, an information providing method, and a program, and more particularly to an information providing device, an information providing method, and a program for providing geospatial information based on spatial data provided by a geographic information system.
[0002] In related technologies, geospatial information is generated using GIS data (referred to as "spatial data") handled by a geographic information system (GIS: Geographic Information System). Here, geospatial information is information indicating the position of a specific point or area in space, and may include information associated with it. GIS data or spatial data includes (I) graphic information such as maps, aerial photographs, and satellite images, (II) attribute information related to ground features, and (III) meta information such as the geodetic system, projection method, scale, and accuracy being used.
[0003] In the related technology described in Patent Document 1, first, a map image with dividing lines for dividing a target area to be observed by a satellite into a plurality of areas is displayed on a terminal device. Then, in the related technology, an operation input for designating any one of the areas of the target area divided by the dividing lines is received from the terminal device, satellite images corresponding to each of the plurality of areas designated by the operation input are extracted, and the extracted satellite images are displayed on the terminal device. In this way, the related technology described in Patent Document 1 enables a user to easily obtain observation data (i.e., satellite images) that are easy to handle.
[0004] Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2020-154834
[0005] In related technologies, geospatial information is often sold in a purchase unit determined by the seller, such as all of the geospatial information corresponding to the area analyzed by the seller.
[0006] However, customers may only need geospatial information for a specific area within the analyzed region. Because they would otherwise have to purchase geospatial information covering a wider area than necessary, customers often refrain from purchasing such information due to cost considerations. Therefore, there is a need for more affordable and convenient access to geospatial information.
[0007] This disclosure has been made in view of the above-mentioned issues, and its purpose is to provide geospatial information on areas desired by customers.
[0008] An information providing device according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: a first display means for displaying dividing lines on a map that divide an area on a map into a plurality of sections; a selection receiving means for receiving an operation to select one or more sections from the plurality of sections displayed on the map; an acquisition means for acquiring geospatial information of the area corresponding to the selected one or more sections; and a second display means for displaying the acquired geospatial information.
[0009] In one aspect of the information provision method according to the present disclosure, a computer displays dividing lines on a map that divide an area on a map into multiple sections, accepts an operation to select one or more sections from the multiple sections displayed on the map, acquires geospatial information of the area corresponding to the selected one or more sections, and displays the acquired geospatial information.
[0010] A program according to one aspect of this disclosure causes a computer to perform the following processes: display dividing lines on a map that divide an area on a map into a plurality of sections; accept an operation to select one or more sections from the plurality of sections displayed on the map; acquire geospatial information of the area corresponding to the selected one or more sections; and display the acquired geospatial information.
[0011] According to one aspect of this disclosure, geospatial information of a region desired by the customer can be provided.

[0013] With reference to the drawings, several embodiments of this disclosure are described below.
[0014] [Embodiment 1] Embodiment 1 of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 4.
[0015] (System Overview) Figure 1 shows an overview of an example of a system including the information providing device 10 according to this first embodiment. As shown in Figure 1, the information providing device 10 is connected to a database (map data DB) where map data is stored, either via an arbitrary network or directly. In addition, the information providing device 10 is also connected to a database (GIS data DB) where GIS data (referred to as "spatial data") provided by a Geographic Information System (GIS) is stored, either via an arbitrary network or directly. In Figure 1, the reference numeral "10 (20, 30)" for the information providing device indicates that, instead of the information providing device 10 according to this first embodiment, the information providing device 20 (Figure 5) or information providing device 30 (Figure 8) described in this second or third embodiment may be included in the system. The system including the information providing device 10 (20, 30) may be built on-premise or virtually built on the cloud.
[0016] As shown in Figure 1, the information providing device 10 is connected to the seller's server 100 in a communicative manner. The seller's server 100 has a geospatial information DB 200 in which geospatial information is stored. The seller's server 100 acquires spatial data from a geographic information system (GIS) and generates geospatial information based on the acquired spatial data. Note that the seller's server 100 is not owned by the seller and may be a virtual server that exists in the digital space.
[0017] The seller's server 100 then stores the generated geospatial information in the geospatial information DB 200. Alternatively, instead of the seller's server 100 generating the geospatial information, the information providing device 10 may generate the geospatial information based on spatial data (modified version).
[0018] In one example, the information provision device 10 is implemented as a web application. The configuration and operation of the information provision device 10 will be described below.
[0019] (Configuration of Information Providing Device 10) Figure 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the information providing device 10 according to this first embodiment. As shown in Figure 1, the information providing device 10 includes a first display unit 11, a selection reception unit 12, an acquisition unit 13, and a second display unit 14.
[0020] The first display unit 11 displays dividing lines on the map that divide the area on the map into multiple sections. The first display unit 11 is an example of the first display means.
[0021] For example, the first display unit 11 retrieves map data from a map database (DB) and displays the retrieved map data on the customer's terminal (not shown). The first display unit 11 also displays dividing lines on the map that divide the area on the map into multiple sections (Figure 2).
[0022] The selection reception unit 12 accepts an operation to select one or more sections from among multiple sections on the map displayed by the first display unit 11. The selection reception unit 12 is an example of a selection reception means.
[0023] For example, the selection reception unit 12 allows the customer to perform an operation to select one or more sections on the map displayed on the customer's terminal by the first display unit 11, such as by tapping or dragging on the customer's terminal's touch panel (Figure 2). The selection reception unit 12 then obtains information from the customer's terminal indicating which section has been selected.
[0024] The selection reception unit 12 outputs information indicating one or more sections selected by the customer to the acquisition unit 13.
[0025] The acquisition unit 13 acquires geospatial information of one or more selected parcels and their corresponding areas. The acquisition unit 13 is an example of an acquisition means.
[0026] For example, the acquisition unit 13 receives information from the selection reception unit 12 indicating one or more parcels selected by the customer. The acquisition unit 13 accesses the seller's server 100 (Figure 1) and requests geospatial information for the area corresponding to one or more parcels selected by the customer from the geospatial information DB 200 (Figure 1) managed by the seller's server 100.
[0027] Here, the seller's server 100 checks whether the payment for the geospatial information selected by the customer has been made or settled in response to the request from the acquisition unit 13. Then, only if the payment for the geospatial information selected by the customer has been made or settled, the seller's server 100 transmits the requested geospatial information to the acquisition unit 13 of the information providing device 10.
[0028] The acquisition unit 13 outputs the geospatial information acquired from the geospatial information DB 200 to the second display unit 14.
[0029] The second display unit 14 displays the acquired geospatial information. The second display unit 14 is an example of a second display means.
[0030] For example, the second display unit 14 receives geospatial information acquired from the geospatial information DB 200 from the acquisition unit 13. The second display unit 14 displays the geospatial information acquired from the geospatial information DB 200 (i.e., the information desired by the customer) on the customer's terminal (not shown). At this time, the second display unit 14 may overlay the geospatial information on the map displayed by the first display unit 11 (Figure 3), or it may display the geospatial information on the customer's terminal instead of the map displayed by the first display unit 11.
[0031] Here, geospatial information is information that indicates the location of a specific point or area in space, and may also include information associated with it. The geospatial information is pre-generated by the geospatial information vendor for each of the multiple sections (Figure 2) based on spatial data corresponding to the area on the map displayed by the first display unit 11. The spatial data includes (I) graphic information such as maps, aerial photographs, and satellite images, (II) attribute information related to features, and (III) metadata such as the geodetic system, projection method, scale, and accuracy used.
[0032] (Example of display of dividing lines on a map) Figure 2 shows an example of a map displayed by the first display unit 11 on the customer's terminal (not shown). In the map shown in Figure 2, dividing lines are displayed that divide the area on the map into multiple sections. Also in Figure 2, the section selected by the customer's operation on the customer's terminal is shown. Although not shown, the first display unit 11 may also display on the map, in addition to the selected section, "sections where geospatial information can be purchased," "sections where geospatial information has already been purchased by the customer," "sections where an inquiry is required to purchase geospatial information," and "sections where the period for purchasing geospatial information has ended."
[0033] In one example, a "standard regional mesh" is assumed as the "district" corresponding to the area on the map. Here, a "standard regional mesh" is a mesh (district) used in various national statistics. The information providing device 10, or the information providing devices 20 and 30 described later (Figures 5 and 8), provides geospatial information using such standard meshes (districts) as units, making it easy for customers to compare geospatial information with other various national statistical data.
[0034] (Example of displaying geospatial information) Figure 3 shows an example of geospatial information that the second display unit 14 displays on the customer's terminal. In the example shown in Figure 3, the amount of ground settlement (an example of geospatial information) in the area corresponding to the section selected by the customer is displayed on the map in the form of a heatmap. Alternatively, the second display unit 14 may display geospatial information such as the amount of ground settlement in another format, such as a graph.
[0035] (Operation of the Information Providing Device 10) The operation of the information providing device 10 according to this embodiment 1 will be described with reference to Figure 4.
[0036] As shown in Figure 4, first, the first display unit 11 displays dividing lines on the map that divide the area on the map into multiple sections (Figure 2) (S101).
[0037] Next, the selection reception unit 12 accepts an operation to select one or more sections from among the multiple sections on the displayed map (S102).
[0038] The acquisition unit 13 acquires geospatial information of one or more parcels and corresponding areas selected by the customer from the seller's server 100 (Figure 1) (S103).
[0039] The second display unit 14 displays the geospatial information acquired by the acquisition unit 13 (Figure 3) (S104).
[0040] This concludes the operation of the information providing device 10 according to this embodiment 1.
[0041] (Modified Example) In a modified example of the first embodiment, after the selection reception unit 12 receives an operation for a customer to select one or more sections, the acquisition unit 13 acquires spatial data of a region corresponding to the section selected by the customer from a geographic information system (GIS). Then, the acquisition unit 13 generates geospatial information corresponding to the selected one or more sections based on the acquired spatial data. The second display unit 14 displays the geospatial information generated by the acquisition unit 13 on the customer's terminal.
[0042] (Effect of the Present Embodiment) According to the configuration of the present embodiment, the first display unit 11 displays dividing lines that divide the region on the map into a plurality of sections on the map. The selection reception unit 12 receives an operation to select one or more sections from the plurality of sections on the displayed map. The acquisition unit 13 acquires geospatial information of a region corresponding to the selected one or more sections. The second display unit 14 displays the acquired geospatial information.
[0043] A customer can select a section of the geospatial information to be displayed by operating to select one or more sections from the plurality of sections on the map. In this way, geospatial information of a region desired by the customer can be provided.
[0044] [Embodiment 2] Referring to FIGS. 5 to 7, Embodiment 2 of the present disclosure will be described. In Embodiment 2, an example different from Embodiment 1 will be described with respect to an operation of selecting one or more sections from the plurality of sections on the displayed map.
[0045] In Embodiment 2, components having functions common to Embodiment 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals as in Embodiment 1. Also, in Embodiment 2, for components having functions common to Embodiment 1, part or all of the description of their functions is omitted.
[0046] In Embodiment 2, it is assumed that numbers are assigned in advance to each of the plurality of sections on the map displayed by the first display unit 11. The numbers are associated with the geospatial information stored in the geospatial information DB 200 (FIG. 1) managed by the seller's server 100.
[0047] (Configuration of Information Providing Device 20) FIG. 5 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the information providing device 20 according to the second embodiment. As shown in FIG. 5, the information providing device 20 includes a first display unit 11, a selection reception unit 22, an acquisition unit 13, and a second display unit 14. In FIG. 5, the display of external devices such as the seller's server 100 and the map DB (FIG. 1) is omitted.
[0048] The selection reception unit 22 receives an operation of selecting one or more sections (FIG. 2) on the map displayed by the first display unit 11. Specifically, the selection reception unit 22 receives an operation of selecting one or more sections by designating one or more numbers (FIG. 6). The selection reception unit 22 is an example of selection reception means.
[0049] The selection reception unit 22 notifies the acquisition unit 13 of the numbers of the one or more sections selected by the customer.
[0050] The acquisition unit 13 requests the seller's server 100 (FIG. 1) for the geospatial information associated with the numbers received from the selection reception unit 22.
[0051] (An Example of Display for Receiving Selection of Numbers of One or More Sections) FIG. 6 is an example of a display for the selection reception unit 22 to receive the selection of numbers of one or more sections from the customer. In the example shown in FIG. 6, numbers such as "53393669" correspond to the numbers assigned to the respective sections. In this example, only "53393761" is selected. However, the customer can also select the numbers of a plurality of sections.
[0052] (Operation of Information Providing Device 20) Referring to FIG. 7, the operation of the information providing device 20 according to the second embodiment will be described.
[0053] As shown in FIG. 7, first, the first display unit 11 displays on the map a dividing line that divides the area on the map into a plurality of sections (FIG. 2) (S201).
[0054] Next, the selection reception unit 22 receives an operation of selecting the numbers of one or more sections among the plurality of sections on the displayed map (FIG. 6) (S202).
[0055] The acquisition unit 13 acquires the numbers of one or more selected parcels and geospatial information of the corresponding areas from the seller's server 100 (Figure 1) (S203).
[0056] The second display unit 14 displays the geospatial information acquired by the acquisition unit 13 (Figure 3) (S204).
[0057] This concludes the operation of the information providing device 20 according to this second embodiment.
[0058] (Modification) In one modification of this embodiment 2, after the selection reception unit 22 receives an operation from the customer to select one or more parcel numbers, the acquisition unit 13 acquires spatial data of the area corresponding to the parcel number selected by the customer from a geographic information system (GIS). Then, the acquisition unit 13 generates geospatial information corresponding to the one or more selected parcels based on the acquired spatial data. The second display unit 14 displays the geospatial information generated by the acquisition unit 13 on the customer's terminal.
[0059] (Effects of this embodiment) According to the configuration of this embodiment, the first display unit 11 displays dividing lines on the map that divide the area on the map into multiple sections. The selection reception unit 22 accepts an operation to select one or more sections by specifying one or more numbers. The acquisition unit 13 acquires geospatial information of the selected one or more sections and the area corresponding to them. The second display unit 14 displays the acquired geospatial information.
[0060] Customers can select the geospatial information area they wish to display by selecting the numbers of one or more areas from a set of numbers on a map. In this way, geospatial information for the area desired by the customer can be provided.
[0061] Furthermore, the configuration of this embodiment has the advantage that it makes it easier for sellers to respond to customer inquiries by allowing customers to select the area and corresponding section for which they wish to purchase geospatial information using a number. For example, by having a customer who has purchased geospatial information provide the number of the area and corresponding section for which there is a problem with the information content, the seller can instantly identify that section. It also has the advantage of making development easier (because various data can be managed with IDs).
[0062] [Embodiment 3] Embodiment 3 of the present disclosure will be described with reference to Figures 8 to 9. In Embodiment 3, a configuration will be described in which information indicating the amount of ground displacement (ground displacement data) is provided as geospatial information as described in Embodiments 1 to 2.
[0063] In this third embodiment, components having functions common to those in embodiments 1 and 2 are denoted by the same reference numerals as in embodiments 1 and 2. Furthermore, in this third embodiment, some or all of the descriptions of the functions of components having functions common to those in embodiments 1 and 2 are omitted.
[0064] (Configuration of Information Provisioning Device 30) Figure 8 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the information provisioning device 30 according to this third embodiment. As shown in Figure 8, the information provisioning device 30 includes a first display unit 11, a selection reception unit 22, an acquisition unit 13, and a second display unit 14. The information provisioning device 30 further includes a ground displacement analysis unit 35. Note that in Figure 8, the display of external devices such as the seller's server 100 and map database (Figure 1) is omitted.
[0065] (Configuration of the ground displacement analysis unit 35) Figure 9 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the ground displacement analysis unit 35 according to this third embodiment. As shown in Figure 9, the ground displacement analysis unit 35 includes an image acquisition unit 211, a satellite analysis unit 212, and a ground displacement data output unit 213.
[0066] The image acquisition unit 211 collects a large number of images (generally 20 or more) from, for example, synthetic aperture radar. The image acquisition unit 211 basically collects images taken by the same satellite at roughly the same location and in roughly the same orbit.
[0067] The satellite analysis unit 212 performs time-series interferometry using the images collected by the image acquisition unit 211. Examples of time-series interferometry methods include PS-InSAR and SBAS (Small Baseline Subset), but the system is not limited to these methods.
[0068] Analysis by the satellite analysis unit 212 provides information indicating the amount of ground displacement (ground displacement data). Similarly, in addition to the amount of ground displacement, it is also possible to obtain the displacement of ground structures such as buildings, bridges, and transmission towers that may reach the radiation waves from the satellite.
[0069] The ground displacement data output unit 213 outputs the ground displacement data obtained in this manner. In this disclosure, "ground displacement data" specifically refers to the display of ground displacement data obtained by analysis of satellite-mounted synthetic aperture radar.
[0070] (Operation of Information Providing Device 30) The operation of the information providing device 30 according to this third embodiment is the same as the operation of the information providing device 20 according to the second embodiment (Figure 7). Therefore, the explanation of the operation of the information providing device 30 will be omitted.
[0071] (Effects of this embodiment) According to the configuration of this embodiment, the first display unit 11 displays dividing lines on the map that divide the area on the map into multiple sections. The selection reception unit 22 accepts an operation to select one or more sections by specifying one or more numbers. The acquisition unit 13 acquires ground displacement data (an example of geospatial information) for the area corresponding to the one or more selected sections. The second display unit 14 displays the acquired ground displacement data.
[0072] Customers can select the areas of ground displacement data they want to display by selecting the numbers of one or more areas from a set of numbers on a map. In this way, ground displacement data for the areas desired by the customer can be provided.
[0073] (Hardware Configuration) The components of the information providing devices 10, 20, and 30 described in Embodiments 1 to 3 above represent functional units. [0077] The data reader / writer 116 mediates data transmission between the CPU 111 and the recording medium 120, reads programs from the recording medium 120, and writes processing results from the computer 110 to the recording medium 120. The communication interface 117 mediates data transmission between the CPU 111 and other computers.
[0078] Furthermore, specific examples of the recording medium 120 include general-purpose semiconductor memory devices such as CF (Compact Flash®) and SD (Secure Digital), magnetic recording media such as Flexible Disks, or optical recording media such as CD-ROMs (Compact Disk Read Only Memory).
