[0002] The technical solution is related to the packaging of ropes, cords and other similar products.
[0003] Packaging for ropes, cords, and similar items should be functional and aesthetically appealing. The functionality of rope packaging requires compactness when the rope is wound on it. Therefore, the development of a packaging for ropes that meets the requirements for compactness during transportation and improves the convenience of using the packaging is relevant.
[0004] An analogue rope packaging is described in USD839084S of January 29, 2019. Such packaging contains a core around which the rope can be wound to hold it in place. The core has a flat rectangular shape, with two opposite sides equipped with protruding tabs. A surface for winding the rope is located between the protruding tabs. A drawback of the known packaging is the insufficient compactness of the core with the wound rope, which makes its transportation difficult. Another drawback is the shape of the protruding tabs, which are formed by an arc and a slanted section connected to the side of the core equipped with the protruding tabs. The section of the core between the slanted parts of the protruding tabs is designed for winding the rope. However, the slanted sections reduce the length of the surface suitable for winding the rope. Also, the slanted sections of the protruding tabs prevent the even winding of the rope around the short side of the core, which can reduce the convenience of using the packaging.
[0005] The proposed technical solution improves the compactness of the packaging with the rope wound on it while increasing the amount (length) of rope that can be wound onto such packaging. In addition, the proposed technical solution increases the convenience of using the packaging in terms of winding and unwinding the rope. According to the proposed technical solution a rope packaging includes a core with the rope wound around it, where the core has a flat rectangular shape, with two opposite sides equipped with protruding tabs, and a surface for winding the ropelocated between these tabs. The length Li of the sides of the core equipped with protruding tabs ranges from 10.41 cm to 30.48 cm. The length L2of the other two sides of the core ranges from 13.46 cm to 38.1 cm. The thickness B of the core with the wound rope ranges from 0.7 cm to 2 cm.

Specifically, the core with a length Li of the sides equipped with protruding tabs within the range of 10.41 cm to 30.48 cm, with the length L2of the other two sides of the core within the range of 13.46 cm to 38.1 cm, and the thickness B of the core with the wound rope within the range of 0.7 cm to 2cm, allows for packaging dimensions that are convenient for transportation and use. The drawings are only for the purpose of illustrating certain embodiments of the technical solution and are not to be construed as limiting the technical solution.
[0012] The packaging (1) contains a core (2) around which the rope (3), for example, paracord, is wound so that it is held on the core (2). The core (2) has a flat rectangular shape and is made of a flexible material, such as cardboard or plastic. Two opposite sides (4) of the rectangular core (2) are equipped with protruding tabs (5), between which a surface (6) for winding the rope (3) is located. The length LI of the sides (4) is from 10.41 cm to 30.48 cm, predominantly from 10.41 cm to 25.2 cm, and more specifically 12.5 cm. The length L2 of the other two sides (7) of the core (2) is from 13.46 cm to 38.1 cm, predominantly from 14.00 cm to 34.1 cm, and more specifically 26 cm. The thickness B of the core (2) with the wound rope (3) is from 0.7 cm to 2 cm. The shape of each tab (5) is formed by an arc (8) and a straight section (9). The straight section (9) is perpendicular to the side of the core (4).When using the packaging, the rope (3) is wound around the sides of the core (4) in such a way that it accommodates ropes of varying lengths, up to 200 feet. When winding, care is taken to ensure the tightness of the rope (3) on the winding surface (6), preventing it from tangling and facilitating the distribution of the required length. In its wound and packaged form, when the rope (3) is wound on the surface (6), the dimensions of the packaging (1) are as follows: the length LI of side (4) does not exceed 30.48 cm (12 inches), the length L2 of the other side (7) does not exceed 38.1 cm (15 inches), and the thickness B of the core with the wound rope (3) does not exceed 2 cm (0.79 inches).

Claims1. A rope packaging that includes a core with a rope wound around it, where the core has a flat rectangular shape, with two opposite sides equipped with protruding tabs, and a surface for winding the rope located between these tabs, characterized in that the length Li of the sides of the core equipped with protruding tabs ranges from 10.41 cm to 30.48 cm, the length L2 of the other two sides of the core ranges from 13.46 cm to 38.1 cm, and the thickness B of the core with the wound rope ranges from 0.7 cm to 2 cm.

Rope packaging of claim 1 , wherein the length Li of the sides of the core equipped with protruding tabs ranges from 10.41 cm to 25.2 cm, the length L2 of the other two sides of the core ranges from 14.00 cm to 34.1 cm, and the thickness B of the core with the wound rope ranges from 0.8 cm to 1.905 cm.
3. The rope packaging of claim 1, wherein the length Li of the sides of the core equipped with protruding tabs is 12.5 cm, the length L2 of the other two sides of the core is 26 cm, and the thickness B of the core with the wound rope is 1.78 cm.
