[0175] The core network 106 may communicate with the packet data network 108 over one or more backhaul links 116 (e.g., an S1, N2, N3, or another network interface) . The packet data network 108 may include an application server 118. In some implementations, one or more UEs 104 may communicate with the application server 118. A UE 104 may establish a session (e.g., a protocol data unit (PDU) session, or the like) with the core network 106 via a network entity 102. The core network 106 may route traffic (e.g., control information, data, and the like) between the UE 104 and the application server 118 using the established session (e.g., the established PDU session) . The PDU session may be an example of a logical connection between the UE 104 and the core network 106 (e.g., one or more network functions of the core network 106) .

[0176] In the wireless communications system 100, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may use resources of the wireless communications system 100 (e.g., time resources (e.g., symbols, slots, subframes, frames, or the like) or frequency resources (e.g., subcarriers, carriers) ) to perform various operations (e.g., wireless communications) . In some implementations, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support different resource structures. For example, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support different frame structures. In some implementations, such as in 4G, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support a single frame structure. In some other implementations, such as in 5G and among other suitable radio access technologies, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support various frame structures (i.e., multiple frame structures) . The network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may support various frame structures based on one or more numerologies.

[0177] One or more numerologies may be supported in the wireless communications system 100, and a numerology may include a subcarrier spacing and a cyclic prefix. A first numerology (e.g., μ=0) may be associated with a first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. In some implementations, the first numerology (e.g., μ=0) associated with the first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) may utilize one slot per subframe. A second numerology (e.g., μ=1) may be associated with a second subcarrier spacing (e.g., 30 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A third numerology (e.g., μ=2) may be associated with a third subcarrier spacing (e.g., 60 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix or an extended cyclic prefix. A fourth numerology (e.g., μ=3) may be associated with a fourth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 120 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix. A fifth numerology (e.g., μ=4) may be associated with a fifth subcarrier spacing (e.g., 240 kHz) and a normal cyclic prefix.

[0178] A time interval of a resource (e.g., a communication resource) may be organized according to time units, the time unit could be one or more frames (also referred to as radio frames) . Each frame may have a duration, for example, a 10 millisecond (ms) duration. In some implementations, each frame may include multiple subframes. For example, each frame may include 10 subframes, and each subframe may have a duration, for example, a 1 ms duration. In some implementations, each frame may have the same duration. In some implementations, each subframe of a frame may have the same duration.

[0179] Additionally or alternatively, a time unit could be one or more slots. For example, a subframe may include a number (e.g., quantity) of slots. The number of slots in each subframe may also depend on the one or more numerologies supported in the wireless communications system 100. For instance, the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth numerologies (i.e., μ=0, μ=1, μ=2, μ=3, μ=4) associated with respective subcarrier spacings of 15 kHz, 30 kHz, 60 kHz, 120 kHz, and 240 kHz may utilize a single slot per subframe, two slots per subframe, four slots per subframe, eight slots per subframe, and 16 slots per subframe, respectively. Each slot may include a number (e.g., quantity) of symbols (e.g., OFDM symbols) . In some implementations, the number (e.g., quantity) of slots for a subframe may depend on a numerology. For a normal cyclic prefix, a slot may include 14 symbols. For an extended cyclic prefix (e.g., applicable for 60 kHz subcarrier spacing) , a slot may include 12 symbols. The relationship between the number of symbols per slot, the number of slots per subframe, and the number of slots per frame for a normal cyclic prefix and an extended cyclic prefix may depend on a numerology. It should be understood that reference to a first numerology (e.g., μ=0) associated with a first subcarrier spacing (e.g., 15 kHz) may be used interchangeably between subframes and slots.

[0180] Additionally or alternatively, a time unit could be one or more symbols.

[0181] In the wireless communications system 100, an electromagnetic (EM) spectrum may be split, based on frequency or wavelength, into various classes, frequency bands, frequency channels, etc. By way of example, the wireless communications system 100 may support one or multiple operating frequency bands, such as frequency range designations FR1 (410 MHz –7.125 GHz) , FR2 (24.25 GHz –52.6 GHz) , FR3 (7.125 GHz –24.25 GHz) , FR4 (52.6 GHz –114.25 GHz) , FR4a or FR4-1 (52.6 GHz –71 GHz) , and FR5 (114.25 GHz –300 GHz) . In some implementations, the network entities 102 and the UEs 104 may perform wireless communications over one or more of the operating frequency bands. In some implementations, FR1 may be used by the network entities 102 and the UEs 104, among other equipment or devices for cellular communications traffic (e.g., control information, data) . In some implementations, FR2 may be used by the network entities 102 and the UEs 104, among other equipment or devices for short-range, high data rate capabilities.

[0182] FR1 may be associated with one or multiple numerologies (e.g., at least three numerologies) . For example, FR1 may be associated with a first numerology (e.g., μ=0) , which includes 15 kHz subcarrier spacing; a second numerology (e.g., μ=1) , which includes 30 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a third numerology (e.g., μ=2) , which includes 60 kHz subcarrier spacing. FR2 may be associated with one or multiple numerologies (e.g., at least 2 numerologies) . For example, FR2 may be associated with a third numerology (e.g., μ=2) , which includes 60 kHz subcarrier spacing; and a fourth numerology (e.g., μ=3) , which includes 120 kHz subcarrier spacing.

[0183] The TDD slot format in 5G new radio (NR) includes downlink format, uplink format and flexible format. For semi-static TDD, the slot format might be determined by a cell common UL / DL configuration tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon, which is provided to the UE through system information. The tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon includes configurations of a transmission pattern, which includes a slot configuration period of P msec by dl-ul-transmission-periodicity, a number of downlink slots dslots by nrofDownlinkSlots, a number of downlink symbols dsym by nrofDownlinkSymbols, a number of uplink slots uslots by nrofUplinkSlots and a number of uplink symbols usym by nrofUplinkSymbols. A slot configuration period of P msec includes S slots. From the S slots, the first dslots slots include only downlink symbols and the last uslots slots include only uplink symbols. The dsym symbols after the first dslots slots are downlink symbols. The usym symbols before the last uslots are uplink symbols. The remaining (S-dslots-uslots) *Nsym -dsym-usym symbols are flexible symbols, where Nsym is the number of symbols in a slot.

[0184] FIG. 1B illustrates an example diagram of an uplink / downlink configuration by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon in related solutions. As shown in FIG. 1B, a slot configuration period of P=5 msec includes 10 slots. From the 10 slots, the first dslots=3 slots include only downlink symbols and the last uslots=3 slots include only uplink symbols. The dsym=7 symbols after the first dslots=3 slots are downlink symbols. The usym=3 symbols before the last uslots=3 slots are uplink symbols. The remaining (S-dslots-uslots) *Nsym -dsym-usym symbols are flexible symbols, where Nsym is the number of symbols in a slot.

[0185] UE-specific RRC parameters may be used to revise the flexible symbols configured by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon to DL symbols or UL symbols. In addition, DCI format 2_0 may be used to revise the flexible symbols configured by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon to DL symbols or UL symbols by indicating a slot format of a predefine table. Such TDD configuration may be called dynamic TDD.

[0186] In order to realize the superior data rate and latency, 5G spectrum on higher frequency band is inevitable. To overcome the coverage reduction on such carriers, a duplexing scheme (referred to as a SBFD scheme) has been proposed so as to enable simultaneous use of downlink and uplink within a TDD carrier using non-overlapped frequency resource. The intention of this scheme is to extend the duration over which uplink transmission could occur for improved the uplink coverage and capacity. The simultaneous use of DL and UL is only at the base station side and not at the UE side. An example of a duplexing scheme could be seen in FIG. 1C. In the example of FIG. 1C, two downlink (DL) subbands are duplexed with an uplink (UL) subband in slot #0 and slot #1.

[0187] In time domain, the SBFD symbols / slots could be configured in DL symbol / slot or flexible symbol / slot in tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon, and the configuration is carried in SIB1, and the configuration period is same as the period for tdd-UL-DL-ConfigCommon. For example, some downlink symbols and flexible symbols could be configured as SBFD symbols for SBFD-aware UEs. Such SBFD configuration may be called semi-static SBFD. FIG. 1D illustrates an example diagram of a semi-static SBFD configuration based on an uplink / downlink configuration in related solutions. As shown in FIG. 1D, based on a two-stage indication, downlink symbols / slots, uplink symbols / slots and flexible symbols / slots are determined based on configurations of a transmission pattern, and a portion of the downlink symbols / slots and / or flexible symbols / slots may be configured as SBFD.

[0188] The gNB could configure one cell common UL subband and one or two cell common DL subbands. The UE determines the UL usable physical resource blocks (PRB) based on the interaction of its UL active BWP / UL initial BWP and the cell common UL subband, and also determines the DL usable PRB based on the interaction of its UL active BWP / UL initial BWP and the cell common DL subband (s) . For symbols configured as SBFD format, the UL usable PRB and DL usable PRB could be used for reception and transmission. DL receptions can only be in DL usable PRBs and UL transmissions could only be in UL usable PRBs. FIG. 1E illustrates an example diagram of a frequency domain configuration in a SBFD scheme. As shown in FIG. 1E, a DL usable PRB is a RB in a DL BWP and also in the configured DL subband; and a UL usable PRB is a RB in a UL BWP and also in the configured UL subband. In a SBFD symbol / slot, a UE may transmit UL transmissions in the UL usable PRBs or receive DL transmissions in the DL usable PRBs, and the gNB may receive UL transmissions from a first UE in the UL usable PRBs and transmit DL transmissions to a second UE in the DL usable PRBs.

[0189] A downlink or flexible symbol provided by tdd-UL-DL-ConfigurationCommon can include an UL sub-band provided by ulSubbandlocationAndBandwidth, a first DL sub-band provided by firstdlSubbandlocationAndBandwidth and may additionally include a second DL sub-band provided by seconddlSubbandlocationAndBandwidth, for a SCS configuration μ of any configured UL BWP or DL BWP, respectively, as provided by scs-SpecificCarrierList [4, TS 38.211] . The downlink or flexible symbol is then referred to as an SBFD symbol; otherwise, it is referred to as a non-SBFD symbol. For example, a BS may simultaneously perform a DL transmission and a UL reception in an SBFD symbol while a UE can only perform a DL reception or a UL transmission. A slot format being SBFD may mean a slot includes only SBFD symbol or some SBFD symbols. non-SBFD slots could be a slot includes only non-SBFD symbol.

[0190] A time unit is non-SBFD time unit if it is not SBFD time unit, or it is pure DL / flexible / UL symbol.

[0191] For transmission or reception in SBFD symbol (semi-static SBFD) , flowing enhancements are supported: (1) UL transmissions within UL usable PRBs are allowed, DL receptions within  DL usable PRBs are allowed; (2) UL transmissions outside UL usable PRBs are not allowed, DL receptions  outside DL usable PRBs are not allowed; (3) For PUCCH, (3.1) Separate frequency configurations for SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols  in the same PUCCH-Resource; (3.2) Support separate configurations of startingPRB and secondHopPRB for SBFD  symbols and non-SBFD symbols; (4) For CSI-RS, (4.1) For a contiguous CSI-RS resource which overlaps with SBFD subband  boundaries, only CSI-RS frequency resources within DL usable PRBs are valid for SBFD-aware. (4.2) gNB configuration may not ensure that the CSI-RS associated with each CSI- ReportConfig is confined to either SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols only. The valid symbol type for CSI derivation for periodic / semi-persistent CSI-RS resources for the CSI report is explicitly configured. Only CSI-RS transmission occasions within the valid symbol types are used for CSI derivation. (5) For SRS, (5.1) Support separate SRS configurations for SBFD and non-SBFD symbols. (6) For PDSCH / PUSCH transmission in SBFD symbols, (6.1) For a single transmission or reception in both in SBFD symbol and non-SBFD,  it is not valid. (6.1.1) A nominal repetition is segmented into actual repetitions around  boundary of SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols for PUSCH repetition type B. (6.2) For a single transmission or reception in SBFD symbols, (6.2.1) For frequency resource allocation Type 0 or frequency resource  allocation Type 1, the number of PRBs for TBS determination is based on the assigned PRBs within DL usable PRBs only and assigned PRBs within UL usable PRBs only for PDSCH and PUSCH respectively. (6.3) For transmission and reception across SBFD symbol and non-SBFD symbol,  including PDSCH / PUSCH with repetitions, CG PUSCH or SPS PDSCH without repetition, (6.3.1) Configuration 1: The transmissions / receptions are restricted to  SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only: (6.3.1.1) For semi-statically configured transmissions / receptions without  activation DCI, the valid symbol type is explicitly configured by RRC. (6.3.1.2) For dynamically scheduled transmissions / receptions, the valid  symbol type is determined based on the symbol type of the first transmission / reception (the first transmission / reception occasion indicated by scheduling DCI) . (6.3.1.3) only the PRBs within DL usable PRBs are considered to be valid  for PDSCH reception and only the PRBs within UL usable PRBs are considered to be valid for PUSCH transmission. (6.3.1.4) The number of PRBs for TBS determination is based on the  assigned PRBs within DL usable PRBs only and assigned PRBs within UL usable PRBs only for PDSCH and PUSCH (RA type 0) respectively. (6.3.2) Configuration 2: The transmissions / receptions can be in SBFD  symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots: (6.3.2.1) For PDSCH repetitions, If the first repetition occasion indicated by  scheduling DCI is in SBFD symbols, the number of PRBs for TBS determination is based on assigned PRBs within DL usable PRBs. If the first repetition occasion indicated by scheduling DCI is in non-SBFD symbols, the number of PRBs for TBS determination is based on assigned PRBs. (6.3.2.2) For PUSCH repetitions, (6.3.2.2.1) Single resource configuration / indication for non-SBFD  symbols and RB offset (s) configuration / indication / determination to determine frequency resource for SBFD symbols; (6.3.2.2.2) The numbers of PRBs are the same for PUSCH  transmissions in SBFD symbols and PUSCH transmissions in non-SBFD symbols; (6.3.2.2.3) Support separate FH offsets for PUSCH transmissions in  SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols respectively. (6.4) The configuration for DL BWP at least applies to PDSCH receptions within  the DL BWP. (6.5) The configuration for UL BWP applies to PUCCH and PUSCH transmissions  within the UL BWP. For SRS, only Configuration 1 is applicable.

[0192] FIG. 1F illustrates example diagrams of PUSCH transmissions and PDSCH transmissions in a SBFD scheme. As shown in FIG. 1F, Slot#0, Slot#1 and Slot#3 are slots with SBFD symbols, and Slot #2 is a slot with non-SBFD symbols. The upper portion of FIG. 1F shows an example of PUSCH transmissions with a valid symbol type of SBFD. For UE supporting configuration 1 for PUSCH, if SBFD symbol is determined as the valid symbol type, then, PUSCH in non-SBFD symbols (e.g., symbols in Slot#2) is not valid if available slot counting is configured; otherwise it is canceled. The middle portion of FIG. 1F shows an example of PUSCH transmissions across SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots. For UE configured with configuration 2 for PUSCH, the frequency domain resource for PUSCH in non-SBFD symbol is indicated, and resource for PUSCH in SBFD symbols is determined based on the indicated resource and a configured offset. The lower portion of FIG. 1F shows an example of PDSCH transmissions across SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols in different slots. For UE configured with configuration 2 for PDSCH, in SBFD symbol, only the resource in DL usable PRBs are valid.

[0193] Since the simultaneous use of DL and UL is only at the base station side and not at the UE side. There might be collisions of transmission directions in SBFD symbols at UE side. Handling of such collisions are needed. Table 1 shows behaviors defined for different collision cases for direction collision handling in SBFD symbols. Table 1

[0194] For 6G day one, multiple duplex modes supported by 5G NR may be supported, which including FD-FDD, semi-static TDD, gNB semi-static SBFD, HD-FDD on UE side, dynamic TDD and so on.

[0195] Another duplex mode, such as dynamic SBFD, may also be supported as a unified design of SBFD and dynamic TDD. This duplex mode is also a dynamic TDD mode when SBFD is introduced as a slot format like DL or UL in 6G day one, wherein SBFD symbol’s definition could be same as 5GNR, or SBFD symbol could be configured by TDD common directly as a new symbol format, not override from DL or Flexible. And optionally, the DL or UL usable PRB for SBFD symbol could be configured directly and not depended on the BWP configuration for non-SBFD symbol.

[0196] The dynamic SBFD mode include three directions: - Direction 1: Using signaling to switch symbol format between SBFD symbol and non- SBFD symbol; - Direction 2: Using signaling to indicate the direction of the SBFD symbol; - Direction 3: Change the sub band configuration of DL / UL subband in SBFD symbol.

[0197] Regarding the operations for these three directions in dynamic SBFD mode, further enhancements are still needed in various aspects. For example, the first aspect relates to how to transmit PUCCH / PUSCH / SRS / CSI-report or receive PDSCH in the symbols, when the symbol is switched between SBFD symbol and non-SBFD (Direction 1) , or when the symbol is indicated as SBFD symbol with DL / UL direction (Direction 2) , or when the subband configuration (e.g., subband size or subband location) in the symbols are changed (Direction 3) . The second aspect relates to the granularity of the indication. The third aspect relates to how to realize these directions using a unified design with dynamic TDD.

[0198] In view of the above, embodiments of the present disclosure provide solutions to resolve at least one of the above issues that occurred in dynamic SBFD modes or any other applicable issue that the solutions can solve. In an aspect of the present disclosure, the UE receives a dynamic indication of a change associated with a SBFD format for at least one time unit. Operations associated with at least one transmission overlapped with the at least one time unit may be performed based on the dynamic indication. As used herein, the term “transmission” may refer to DL transmission and / or UL transmission. As used herein, the expression “the UE performing a DL transmission” means that the UE receives the DL transmission, and the expression “the UE performing a UL transmission” means that UE transmit the UL transmission As used herein, the expression “the base station performing a DL transmission” means that the base station transmits the DL transmission” and the expression “the base station performing a UL transmission” means that the base station receives the UL transmission.

[0199] Reference is now made to FIG. 2, which illustrates an example signaling chart of a communication process 200 that supports transmissions in full duplex scenarios in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For the purpose of discussion, the process 200 will be described with reference to FIG. 1A. The process 200 may involve the UE 104 and the base station 102. It is to be understood that the steps and the order of the steps in FIG. 2 are merely for illustration, and not for limitation. It is to be understood that process 200 may further include additional blocks not shown and / or omit some shown blocks, and the scope of the present disclosure is not limited in this regard.

[0200] As shown in FIG. 2, the base station 102 transmits (202) a dynamic indication 204 to the UE 104. The dynamic indication 204 is indicative of a change associated with a SBFD format for at least one time unit. The UE 104 receives (206) the dynamic indication 204 from the base station 102, and performs (208) operations associated with at least one transmission overlapped with the at least one time unit. In particular, the UE 104 determines how to receive or transmit data in the at least one time unit according to the dynamic indication 204. Similarly, the base station 102 performs (210) operations associated with at least one transmission overlapped with the at least one time unit. The operations associated with the at least one transmission overlapped with the at least one time unit are based on the dynamic indication 204.

[0201] In some embodiments, the dynamic indication 204 may be a first indication indicative of a format change of the at least one time unit from a first format to a second format. In other words, the first format is the initial format before the format change (e.g., configured by SIB1) , and the second format is the new format based on the format change. In some implementations, the first format is the SBFD format, and the second format is a non-SBFD format (e.g., a DL format, a flexible format or an UL format) . In some alternative implementations, the first format is the non-SBFD format, and the second format is a SBFD format (e.g., a DL format, a flexible format or an UL format) . The dynamic indication 204 being the first indication indicative of a change associated with a SBFD format for at least one time unit means that, based on the first indication, the format of the time units may be changed to the SBFD format from the non-SBFD format or changed to the non-SBFD format from the SBFD format.

[0202] In some implementations, the first format is the SBFD format, and the second format is the non-SBFD format. The non-SBFD format may be determined as the DL format or the flexible format based on a predefinition. In other words, for the format change from the SBFD format to the non-SBFD format, the non-SBFD format may be a flexible format or a DL format, which is predefined.

[0203] In some implementations, the first format is the SBFD format, and the second format is the non-SBFD format. The non-SBFD format may be determined as the DL format or the flexible format based on an indication received from the base station 102. The indication indicative of the non-SBFD format to change to may be carried in a RRC signaling or a DCI. For example, for the format change from the SBFD format to the non-SBFD format, the non-SBFD format may be a flexible format or a DL format, which is indicated by the base station using e.g., a 2-bit indication.

[0204] In some implementations, the first format is the non-SBFD format (e.g., a flexible format) , and the second format is the SBFD format. The first indication indicative of the format change may be carried in a RRC signaling or a DCI. In a more specific example, the UE 104 may receive an SIB1 indication to determine the initial format of a symbol as DL or UL or flexible or SBFD. A UE-specific RRC signaling may be used to revise the flexible symbol configured by SIB1 to a SBFD symbol. The SBFD should be continuous in a configured period. Alternatively, the UE 104 may receive an DCI (e.g., a slot format indication (SFI) ) to revise the flexible symbol configured by SIB1 to SBFD symbol. The SFI may indicate a symbol format for a slot from a table. For each symbol format for a slot in the table, there may be at least one SBFD symbol. Each SFI in the SFI table corresponds to a symbol format for a slot. An example format corresponding to an SFI may be that all symbols in a slot are SBFD. Another example format corresponding to an SFI may be that the symbols in a slot consist of X1 DL symbols +X2 Flexible symbols + X3 SBFD symbols, wherein, X1+X2+X3=14, and X1 or X2 could be equal to 0. Another example format corresponding to an SFI may be that the symbols in a slot consist of X1 DL symbols + X3’S BFD symbols + X2’ Flexible symbols, wherein, X1+X3’ +X2’ =14, and X1 or X2 could be equal to 0. A further example format corresponding to an SFI may be that the symbols in a slot consist of X4 Flexible symbols + X5 SBFD symbols+ X6 UL symbols, wherein X4+ X5+X6=14, and X4 or X5 could be equal to 0. A further example format corresponding to an SFI may be that the symbols in a slot consist of X5’S BFD symbols+ X4’ Flexible symbols + X6 UL symbols, wherein X5’+ X4’ + X6=14, and X4’ or X5’ could be equal to 0. In this way, a non-SBFD symbol, such as a flexible symbol, could be indicated to SBFD symbol.

[0205] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a single transmission. The single transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit based on parameters associated with the second format. In other words, if the format of the time units is changed from a first format to a second format, for a single transmission (e.g., a single PUCCH transmission or a single PDSCH transmission) in the time units, the transmission method or parameters corresponding to the second format may be used for the single transmission. As used herein, the term “single transmission” refers to a transmission without repetition. As used herein, the expression “performing a transmission based on a first / second format” means that the transmission method / configuration / parameters for the first / second format are used for the transmission.

[0206] In some implementations, the single transmission is a single PUCCH transmission, and a resource for the single PUCCH transmission may be determined based on the second format. For example, frequency configurations for the SBFD format and the non-SBFD format may be configured separately in the same PUCCH-Resource. If the second format is the SBFD format, the frequency configuration for the SBFD format is used for the single PUCCH transmission; and if the second format is the non-SBFD format, the frequency configuration for the non-SBFD format is used for the single PUCCH transmission. For example, startingPRB and secondHopPRB for the SBFD format and the non-SBFD format may be configured separately. If the second format is the SBFD format, the startingPRB and secondHopPRB for the SBFD format is used for the single PUCCH transmission; and if the second format is the non-SBFD format, the startingPRB and secondHopPRB for the non-SBFD format is used for the single PUCCH transmission.

[0207] In some implementations, the single transmission is a single PDSCH transmission. A resource for the single PDSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format, and a transport block size (TBS) for the single PDSCH transmission may be determined based on the resource for the single PDSCH transmission. For example, if the format of the time units is changed from a first format to a second format, for a single PDSCH transmission (e.g., a dynamic scheduling single PDSCH transmission or a SPS PDSCH transmission without repetitions) in the time units, if the second format is the SBFD format, the number of PRBs for TBS determination of the single PDSCH transmission may be based on only the assigned PRBs within DL usable PRBs; otherwise, if the second format is the non-SBFD format, the number of PRBs for TBS determination of the single PDSCH transmission may be based on all the assigned PRBs.

[0208] FIG. 3A illustrates an example diagram of a single PDSCH transmission in case of format change of the time unit in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in the example in FIG. 3A, in an SBFD symbol, only RBs in the DL usable PRBs are valid for the PDSCH reception at UE side and the number of PRBs for TBS determination of the single PDSCH transmission is based on only the assigned PRBs within DL usable PRBs. Based on the format change indication, slot #1 is switched to a non-SBFD format to an SBFD format, so all the PDSCH resource (i.e., all assigned PRBs) could be used for the PDSCH transmission in slot #1, thus the number of PRBs for TBS determination of the single PDSCH transmission is based on all assigned PRBs.

[0209] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a single transmission. The single transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. A resource for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format. For example, if the format of the time units is changed from a first format to a second format, for a dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission in the time units, if the second format is the SBFD format, only the assigned PRBs within UL usable PRBs are used for the PUSCH transmission; otherwise, if the second format is the non-SBFD format, all the assigned PRBs are used for the PUSCH transmission. The TBS determination of the dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission may be implemented in various manners.

[0210] In some implementations, receiving the first indication before the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold is an error case. In other words, the gap between the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission and the first indication (i.e., the format change indication) should always be larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold. That is, the UE does not expect the gap between the format change indication and the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold. In such event, the TBS for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format. In other words, if the second format is the SBFD format, the number of PRBs for TBS determination of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be based on only the assigned PRBs within UL usable PRBs; otherwise, if the second format is the non-SBFD format, the number of PRBs for TBS determination of the single dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be based on all the assigned PRBs. As used herein, the expression “an event is an error case” means that the UE doesn’ t expect occurrence of the event, and the gNB would avoid the occurrence of the event.

[0211] In some alternative implementations, if the first indication is received before the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit, and a TBS for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format. In some implementations, if the first indication is received before the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission is omitted (i.e., cancelled) . In some alternative implementations, if the first indication is received before the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit, and a TBS for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the first format.

[0212] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a CG PUSCH transmission without repetitions. If a valid format for the CG PUSCH transmission is the first format, the CG PUSCH transmission is omitted. If a valid format for the CG PUSCH transmission is the second format, the CG PUSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit. In other words, for a CG PUSCH transmission without repetitions, for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , if the valid format is the first format, the transmission in the time units is omitted if the format of the time units is changed from a first format to a second format.

[0213] FIG. 3B illustrates an example diagram of a dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission in case of format change of the time unit in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in the example in FIG. 3B, in an SBFD symbol, only RBs in the UL usable PRBs are valid for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. Based on the format change indication, slot #1 is switched to a non-SBFD format to an SBFD format. If the gap between the format change indication and the indicated resource for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission is larger than a threshold, UE could prepare the data for the PUSCH transmission according to non-SBFD format, and the TBS may be determined based on the resource in non-SBFD symbols. All the PUSCH resource (i.e., all assigned PRBs) could be used for the PUSCH transmission in slot #1, and the TBS is determined based on all the assigned PRBs .

[0214] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a repetition of a transmission. In some examples, the transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission, and the repetition is after a first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. In some alternative examples, the transmission may be a CG PUSCH transmission. In some alternative examples, the transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission, and the repetition is after a first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission. In some alternative examples, the transmission may be a SPS PDSCH transmission. If a valid format for the transmission is the first format, the repetition of the transmission is omitted or postponed to a next available time unit. If a valid format for the transmission is the second format, the repetition of the transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit. In other words, for dynamic scheduling PDSCH repetitions (except the first PDSCH repetition) or dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetitions (except the first PDSCH repetition) or CG PUSCH repetitions or SPS PDSCH repetitions, for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , if the second format is determined as the valid format for the transmission, the transmission in the time units may be performed if the format of the time units is changed from a first format to a second format, ; if the first format is determined as the used format for the transmission, the transmission in the time units may be cancelled or the time units are not valid for the transmission if available slot counting is configured.

[0215] FIGS. 4A and 4B illustrates example diagrams of PDSCH repetitions (not the first PDSCH repetition) and PUSCH repetitions (not the first PUSCH repetition) in case of format change of the time unit in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in the example in FIGS. 4A and 4B, for later PDSCH repetitions or later PUSCH repetitions (i.e., not the first repetition) , assuming the determined valid symbol format is SBFD symbol format. Slot #1 is switched to non-SBFD format from SBFD format, and the PDSCH repetition or PUSCH repetition in slot #1 is cancelled. Similarly (not shown in the figures) , for later PDSCH repetitions or later PUSCH repetitions (i.e., not the first repetition) , assuming the determined valid symbol format is non-SBFD symbol format. If a slot is switched to SBFD format from non-SBFD format, the PDSCH repetition or PUSCH repetition in this slot would be cancelled.

[0216] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a first repetition of a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. A valid format for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined as the first format. In other words, for the first dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetition in a time unit with the first format, and for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , the valid format for the PUSCH transmission is always determined as the first format, even if the time format is changed to the second format later.

[0217] In some alternative embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a first repetition of a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. In some implementations, receiving the first indication before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold is an error case. In other words, the gap between the first dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetition and the first indication (i.e., the format change indication) should always be larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold. That is, the UE does not expect the gap between the format change indication and the first dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetition smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold. In such event, the TBS for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetition may be determined based on the second format.

[0218] In some alternative implementations, if the first indication is received before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, a valid format for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined as the first format. The first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be omitted (i.e., cancelled) or postponed to a next available time unit. If the first indication is received before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold, a valid format for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined as the second format. A TBS for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetition may be determined based on the second format. The TBS determination of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetition may be same as that of the dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission.

[0219] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a first repetition of may be a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission, and a valid format for the dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission is determined as the first format. In other words, for the first dynamic scheduling PDSCH repetition, for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , the valid format is always determined as the first format. Alternatively, the at least one transmission may include a first repetition of may be a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission, and a valid format for the dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission is determined as the second format. In other words, for the first dynamic scheduling PDSCH repetition, for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , the valid format is always determined as the second format. The TBS determination of the dynamic scheduling PDSCH repetition may be same as that of the dynamic scheduling single PDSCH transmission.

[0220] FIGS. 5A and 5B illustrates example diagrams of dynamic scheduling PDSCH repetitions in case of format change of the time unit with the first PDSCH repetition in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For dynamic scheduling PDSCH with repetitions, the valid format is determined based on the first PDSCH repetition. In the example shown in FIG. 5A, assuming the time unit used to transmit the first PDSCH repetition is switched to non-SBFD format from SBFD format, UE could determine that the valid format is still SBFD format (i.e., the first format) . Thus, in later repetitions, the repetition in non-SBFD time units should be cancelled. In the example shown in FIG. 5B, assuming the time unit used to transmit the first PDSCH repetition is switched to non-SBFD format from SBFD format, UE could determine that the valid format is non-SBFD format (i.e., the second format) . Thus, in later repetitions, the repetition in SBFD time units should be cancelled.

[0221] FIGS. 5C and 5D illustrates example diagrams of dynamic scheduling PUSCH repetitions in case of format change of the time unit with the first PUSCH repetition in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For dynamic scheduling PUSCH with repetitions, the valid format is determined based on the first PUSCH repetition. In the example shown in FIG. 5C, assuming the time unit used to transmit the first PUSCH repetition is switched to non-SBFD format from SBFD format, if the gap between the format change indication and the first PUSCH repetition is larger than a threshold, UE could determine that the valid format is non-SBFD format. Thus, in later repetitions, the repetition in SBFD time units should be cancelled. In the example shown in FIG. 5D, assuming the time unit used to transmit the first PUSCH repetition is switched to non-SBFD format from SBFD format, if the gap between the format change indication and the first PUSCH repetition is smaller than a threshold, UE could determine that the valid format is SBFD format. Thus, in later repetitions, the repetition in non-SBFD time units should be cancelled.

[0222] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a repetition of a transmission. The repetition of the transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit based on parameters associated with the second format. The repetition of the transmission is one repetition of among multiple repetitions across the first format and the second format in different time units. A resource for the repetition of the transmission may be determined based on the second format. In some examples, the transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission, and the one repetition is after a first repetition. In some alternative examples, the transmission may be a CG PUSCH transmission, or a PUCCH transmission, or a PDSCH transmission. In other words, if the format of the time units is changed from a first format to a second format, for a repetition of the transmission (e.g., PUSCH repetitions except first repetition, or PDSCH repetitions, or CG PUSCH repetitions, or PUCCH repetitions) in the time units, the transmission method or parameters corresponding to the second format may be used for the repetition of the transmission.

[0223] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a first repetition of a transmission. The transmission is a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission with repetitions across first format and second format in different time units. A resource for the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format. In some implementations, receiving the first indication before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold is an error case. That is, the UE does not expect the gap between the format change indication and the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold. In such event, the TBS for the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format.

[0224] In some alternative implementations, if the first indication is received before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold, the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit, and a TBS for the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the second format. In some examples, if the first indication is received before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be omitted or postponed to a next available time unit. In some alternative implementations, if the first indication is received before the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit, and a TBS for the first repetition of the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission may be determined based on the first format.

[0225] With some embodiments of the present disclosure, schemes regarding how to transmit or receive data / RS in a time unit with format change are designed.

[0226] In some embodiments, the dynamic indication 204 may be a second indication indicative of a transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format. For example, the at least one time unit may be SBFD symbols, and the dynamic indication 204 may indicate the respective directions of the SBFD symbols as DL direction or UL direction.

[0227] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a SPS PDSCH transmission and a CG PUSCH transmission. thus, both SPS PDSCH transmission and CG PUSCH transmission could be configured in same time unit. If the transmission direction for the at least one time unit is a DL transmission direction, the SPS PDSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit, and the CG PUSCH transmission may be omitted. If the transmission direction for the at least one time unit is an UL transmission direction, the CG PUSCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit, and the SPS PDSCH transmission may be omitted. In other words, the UE may be configured with semi-statically configured DL receptions and semi-statically configured UL transmissions in a same SBFD time unit, and the real direction (and corresponding transmission) is determined by the indicated direction for the SBFD time unit.

[0228] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, an UL subband of the SBFD format may be deactivated in the at least one time unit. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, the UE should assume that only the DL subband could be used and the UL subband is de-active.

[0229] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, scheduling of an UL transmission overlapped the at least one time unit by a DCI is an error case. The UL transmission is a PUSCH transmission or a PUCCH transmission. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, the UE does not expect to be scheduled with a PUSCH / PUCCH transmission overlapped with the time unit by a DCI (after receiving the direction indication) .

[0230] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, scheduling of a first repetition of an UL transmission overlapped the at least one time unit by a DCI is an error case. The UL transmission is a PUSCH transmission or a PUCCH transmission. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, the UE does not expect to be scheduled with a first PUSCH / PUCCH repetition overlapped with the time unit by a DCI (after receiving the direction indication) .

[0231] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a repetition of an UL transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, the repetition of the UL transmission is omitted or postponed to a next available time unit, or the UL transmission in not counted as an available slot, wherein the UL transmission is a PUSCH transmission or a PUCCH transmission. In some examples, the repetition is after the first repetition. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, for a later PUSCH / PUCCH repetition (i.e., not the first repetition) , the PUSCH / PUCCH repetition is cancelled if it is overlapped with the SBFD time unit.

[0232] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a repetition of a PUSCH transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction and the second indication is received before the repetition of the PUSCH transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the repetition of the PUSCH transmission is omitted or postponed to a next available time unit. In some examples, the repetition is after the first repetition. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, for a later PUSCH repetition (i.e., not the first repetition) , the PUSCH repetition is cancelled if the DL direction indication is within N symbols before the PUSCH repetition.

[0233] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a CG PUSCH transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, the CG PUSCH transmission may be omitted. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, a CG PUSCH transmission overlapped with the SBFD time unit will be cancelled.

[0234] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a CG PUSCH transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, and the second indication is received before the UL transmission by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold, the CG PUSCH transmission is omitted. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, and the second indication is received before the UL transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the CG PUSCH transmission may be performed. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, if the gap between the direction indication and CG PUSCH transmission is larger than (or no smaller than) the cancellation time, the CG PUSCH transmission is omitted; if the gap between the direction indication and CG PUSCH transmission is smaller than (or no larger than) the cancellation time, the CG PUSCH transmission is transmitted.

[0235] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission or a dynamic scheduling PUCCH transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission or the dynamic scheduling PUCCH transmission may be omitted. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, a dynamic scheduling PUSCH / PUCCH transmission overlapped with the SBFD time unit will be cancelled.

[0236] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include an UL transmission, e.g., a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission or a dynamic scheduling PUCCH transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, and the second indication is received before the UL transmission by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission or the dynamic scheduling PUCCH transmission is omitted. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, and the second indication is received before the UL transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission or the dynamic scheduling PUCCH transmission may be performed. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, if the gap between the direction indication and dynamic scheduling PUSCH / PUCCH transmission is larger than (or no smaller than) the cancellation time, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH / PUCCH transmission is omitted; if the gap between the direction indication and dynamic scheduling PUSCH / PUCCH transmission is smaller than (or no larger than) the cancellation time, the dynamic scheduling PUSCH / PUCCH transmission is transmitted.

[0237] In some embodiments, the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction. An UL transmission overlapped with the at least one time unit is scheduled by a DCI. Receiving of the second indication after receiving the DCI is an error case. In other words, if an UL transmission overlapped with at least one SBFD time unit is scheduled by a DCI, the UE does not expect to receive an indication indicating the direction of the at least one time unit to be DL direction.

[0238] In some embodiments, the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction. An UL transmission overlapped with the at least one time unit is scheduled by a DCI. In some examples, the UL transmission scheduled by a DCI may be a PUSCH transmission or a PUCCH transmission. Receiving of the second indication before the UL transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold is an error case. In other words, if an UL transmission overlapped with at least one SBFD time unit is scheduled by a DCI, the UE does not expect to receive an indication, indicating the direction of the at least one time unit to be DL direction, before the UL transmission by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) the cancellation time.

[0239] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, an overlapping between a PRACH transmission triggered by a PDCCH transmission and the at least one time unit is an error case. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, the UE does not expect collision between PRACH triggered by PDCCH order and the SBFD time unit with the dynamically indicated DL direction.

[0240] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a PRACH transmission triggered by a higher layer transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, the PRACH transmission is omitted. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a DL direction, for a collision between PRACH triggered by higher layer and the SBFD time unit with the dynamically indicated DL direction, the PRACH should be cancelled.

[0241] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is a DL transmission direction, receiving of the second indication before a valid PRACH occasion overlapped with the at least one time unit by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold is an error case. In other words, the UE does not expect to receive an indication, indicating the direction of the at least one time unit to be DL direction, before a valid PRACH occasion by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold (e.g., Ngap symbols) .

[0242] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is an UL transmission direction, at least one DL subband of the SBFD format is deactivated in the at least one time unit. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a UL direction, the UE should assume that only the UL subband could be used and the DL subband is de-active.

[0243] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is an UL transmission direction, scheduling of a PDSCH transmission overlapped the at least one time unit is an error case. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a UL direction, the UE does not expect to be scheduled with a PDSCH transmission overlapped with the time unit by a DCI (after receiving the direction indication) .

[0244] In some embodiments, if the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is an UL transmission direction, scheduling of a first repetition of a PDSCH transmission overlapped the at least one time unit is an error case. In other words, if a SBFD time unit is indicated with a UL direction, the UE does not expect to be scheduled with a first PDSCH repetition overlapped with the time unit by a DCI (after receiving the direction indication) .

[0245] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a repetition of a PDSCH transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is an UL transmission direction, the repetition of the PDSCH transmission is omitted or postponed to a next available time unit. In some examples, the repetition is after the first repetition.

[0246] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a DL transmission. If the transmission direction of the at least one time unit with the SBFD format is an UL transmission direction, the DL transmission is omitted. The DL transmission may be a SPS PDSCH transmission or a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission.

[0247] In some embodiments, receiving an indication indicative of a transmission direction for a time unit with a SSB transmission as an UL transmission direction is an error case. For example, a slot consisting of SSB symbols is considered as a full DL slots, and could not be indicated with an UL direction.

[0248] In some embodiments, in the case of absence of the second indication indicative of a transmission direction of the at least one time unit with an SBFD format, semi-static transmissions on the at least one time unit with the SBFD format are omitted. For example, if a SBFD symbol is not indicated with UL or DL direction, the UE should not receive or transmit semi static data in the SBFD symbol. Wherein semi-static data could include CG PUSCH or SPS PDSCH. Thus, the SBFD symbol could be used for semi static transmission only when the SBFD symbol is indicated with a transmission direction. For example, semi static data or RS is omitted in the SBFD symbols not indicated with UL or DL direction. For CG PUSCH transmission with configuration 1, if a SBFD symbol is configured or determined as a valid format for the CG PUSCH transmission, only SBFD symbol indicated as UL could be used for the CG PUSCH transmission. For CG PUSCH transmission with configuration 2, for a SBFD symbol, if it is indicated as UL, it could be used for the CG PUSCH transmission. For SPS PDSCH transmission with configuration 1, if a SBFD symbol is configured or determined as a valid format for the SPS PDSCH transmission, only SBFD symbol indicated as DL could be used for the SPS PDSCH transmission. For SPS PDSCH transmission with configuration 2, for a SBFD symbol, if it is indicated as DL, it could be used for the SPS PDSCH transmission.

[0249] In some embodiments, in the case of absence of the second indication indicative of a transmission direction of the at least one time unit with an SBFD format, dynamic scheduling transmissions on the at least one time unit with the SBFD format are performed. In other words, if a SBFD symbol is not indicated with UL or DL direction, a dynamic scheduling PUSCH / PDSCH could be transmitted or received assuming it is a semi-static SBFD symbol.

[0250] With some embodiments of the present disclosure, schemes regarding the collision of a transmission in a SBFD time unit and a direction of the SBFD time unit are designed.

[0251] In some embodiments, the dynamic indication 204 is a third indication indicative of a change of a subband configuration of the at least one time unit with an SBFD format from a first subband configuration to a second subband configuration. The first subband configuration is associated with a first UL subband and at least one first DL subband. The second subband configuration is associated with a second UL subband and at least one second DL subband. In this way, the size / location of the UL / DL subband or UL / DL usable PRBs may be changed. Or optionally, the first subband configuration is associated with a first UL usable PRB and at least one DL usable PRB. The second subband configuration is associated with a second UL usable PRB and at least one second DL usable PRB. In this way, the size / location of UL / DL usable PRBs in a time unit may be changed by the third indication.

[0252] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a single transmission or a first repetition of a transmission. The single transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. The transmission may be is a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. If the third indication is received before the single transmission or the first repetition by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold, a TBS for the single transmission or the first repetition or the first repetition may be determined based on the second UL subband. If the third indication is received before the single transmission or the first repetition by a gap smaller than (or no larger than) a threshold, a TBS for the single transmission or the first repetition or the first repetition may be determined based on the first UL subband. For example, for a dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission without repetitions, or the first repetition of multiple PUSCH repetitions, if the indication of the subband change is received before the PUSCH with a gap larger than a threshold, the TBS of the PUSCH is determined based on the assigned PRBs within the new UL subband; otherwise, the TBS is determined based on assigned PRBs within the initial UL subband.

[0253] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a single transmission or a first repetition of a transmission. The single transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. The transmission may be is a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. The third indication is received before the single transmission or the first repetition by a gap larger than (or no smaller than) a threshold. The gap is larger than (or no smaller than) the threshold, and the gap being smaller than (or no larger than) the threshold is an error case. A TBS for the single transmission or the first repetition or the first repetition may be determined based on the second UL subband. For example, for a dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission without repetitions, or the first repetition of multiple PUSCH repetitions, the indication of the subband change should be received before the PUSCH with a gap larger than a threshold, and the TBS of the PUSCH is determined based on the assigned PRBs within the new UL subband.

[0254] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a single transmission or a first repetition of a transmission. The single transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. The transmission may be is a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission. A number of PRBs, among assigned PRBs, within the first UL subband is equal to a number of PRBs, among assigned PRBs, within the second UL subband. In other words, for a dynamic scheduling single PUSCH transmission without repetitions, or the first repetition of multiple PUSCH repetitions, even if the UL subband or UL usable PRB is changed (e.g., the size or location) , the RB number of the transmission should not be changed.

[0255] FIGS. 6A and 6B illustrates example diagrams of PUSCH transmissions in case of subband change of the time unit in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B, a PUSCH resource (e.g., with assigned PRBs shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B) in a slot is indicated. The assigned PRBs exceeds the first UL subband in the slot (e.g., y1) . The UL subband in the slot is indicated to be changed, e.g., from the first UL subband (y1) to the second UL subband (y2) . In the example shown in FIG. 6A, if the gap between the subband change indication and the indicated PUSCH resource is smaller than a threshold, the first UL subband (e.g., y1) should be used to determine the TBS for PUSCH transmission, thus the TBS is determined based on assigned PRBs within first UL subband (e.g., y1) . In the example shown in FIG. 6B, if the gap between the subband change indication and the indicated PUSCH resource is larger than a threshold, the second UL subband (e.g., y2) should be used to determine TBS for PUSCH transmission, thus the TBS is determined based on assigned PRBs within the second UL subband.

[0256] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a transmission without repetitions. The transmission may be a CG PUSCH transmission or a SPS PDSCH transmission. A valid format for the transmission is the SBFD format. The UE 104 may receive, from the base station 102, a first resource configuration for the first subband configuration and a second resource configuration for second subband configuration. The transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit based on the second resource configuration for the second subband configuration. For example, for a CG PUSCH transmission without repetitions, for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , there could be multiple PUSCH resource configurations for different UL subbands. Corresponding PUSCH resources for a certain UL subband configuration may be used. For a SPS PDSCH transmission without repetitions, for configuration 1 (i.e., the transmissions are restricted to SBFD symbols only or non-SBFD symbols only) , there could be multiple PDSCH resource configurations for different UL subbands. Corresponding PDSCH resources for a certain DL subband configuration may be used.

[0257] FIGS. 7A and 7B illustrates example diagrams of PUSCH transmissions in case of subband change of the time unit in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. For example, a first PUSCH resource (e.g., with assigned PRBs shown in FIG. 7A) is configured for the first subband configuration (with a first UL subband y1) , and a second PUSCH resource (e.g., with assigned PRBs shown in FIG. 7B) is configured for the second subband configuration (with a second UL subband y2) . In the example shown in FIG. 7A, if the UL UL subband in the slot is indicated to be changed, e.g., from the second UL subband (y2) to the first UL subband (y1) , the assigned PRBs for the first subband configuration is used for the PUSCH transmission. In the example shown in FIG. 7B, if the UL UL subband in the slot is indicated to be changed, e.g., from the first UL subband (y1) to the second UL subband (y2) , the assigned PRBs for the second subband configuration is used for the PUSCH transmission.

[0258] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a transmission (e.g., a CG PUSCH transmission without repetitions or a SPS PDSCH transmission without repetitions) or a repetition of a transmission (e.g., a PUSCH transmission with repetitions or a PDSCH transmission with repetitions) . A valid format for the transmission is the SBFD format. The UE 104 may receive, from the base station 102, at least one of the following: an indication of whether to allow the transmission based on different subband configurations; or an indication of whether to allow the transmission based on subband configurations with different subband sizes; or an indication of a valid subband configuration for the transmission; or an indication of a valid subband size for the transmission. For example, for CG PUSCH or SPS PDSCH with configuration 1 and without repetition, there could be multiple PUSCH resource configurations for different UL subbands. The UE may be further configured with an indication of whether across SBFD symbols with different subbands or not. If not, The UE may be further indicated with the SBFD size configuration to be used.

[0259] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a transmission, which may be a CG PUSCH transmission with transmissions across first format and second format in different time units or a SPS PDSCH transmission with transmissions across first format and second format in different time units. Alternatively, the at least one transmission may include a repetition, which may be one repetition of a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission with repetitions across first format and second format in different time units, or one repetition of a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission with repetitions across first format and second format in different time units. In some embodiments, a first offset for the first subband configuration and a second offset for the second subband configuration are configured, a starting PRB of the transmission or the repetition in the at least one time unit may be determined based on the second offset for the second subband configuration. In some alternative embodiments, a number of PRBs, among assigned PRBs, for the first subband configuration is equal to a number of PRBs, among assigned PRBs, for the second subband configuration.

[0260] For example, for PUSCH with repetitions or CG without repetition, and for Configuration 2, some PUSCH transmissions / repetitions may be transmitted in SBFD symbols with a first UL subband size, some PUSCH transmissions / repetitions may be transmitted in SBFD symbols with a second UL subband size, some PUSCH transmissions / repetitions may be transmitted in non-SBFD symbols. Different offsets for determining the starting RB of different PUSCH transmissions / repetitions in different slot could be configured for different UL subband sizes. Alternatively, the number of PRB should be same for PUSCH transmissions / repetitions in different SBFD symbol sizes, thus the TBS for PUSCH transmissions / repetitions in different slots is not changed.

[0261] In another example, for PDSCH with repetitions or SPS without repetition, and for Configuration 2, some PDSCH transmissions / repetitions may be received in SBFD symbols with a first DL subband size, some PDSCH transmissions / repetitions may be received in SBFD symbols with a second DL subband size, some PDSCH transmissions / repetitions may be received in non-SBFD symbols. If the first repetition occasion indicated by scheduling DCI is in SBFD symbols, the number of PRBs for TBS determination is based on assigned PRBs within DL usable PRBs. If the first repetition occasion indicated by scheduling DCI is in non-SBFD symbols, the number of PRBs for TBS determination is based on assigned PRBs..

[0262] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a CG PUSCH transmission with transmissions across first format and second format in different time units. Alternatively, the at least one transmission may include a repetition of a dynamic scheduling PUSCH transmission with repetitions across first format and second format in different time units. In some embodiments, a first hopping parameter for the first subband configuration and a second hopping parameter for the second subband configuration are configured, and the second hopping parameter for the second subband configuration is used for the transmission or the repetition in the at least one time unit. For example, for PUSCH with repetition or CG without repetitions, and for Configuration 2, for PUSCH repetition in different SBFD symbols with different UL subband sizes, the hopping parameters may be configured separately. For the first UL subband size (or the first UL subband size range) , the first hopping parameter is used; for the second UL subband (or the second UL subband size range) , the second hopping parameter is used. Alternatively, if no hopping parameter is configured for the second subband configuration, hopping of the transmission or the repetition is disabled in the at least one time unit. For example, for PUSCH with repetition or CG without repetitions, and for Configuration 2, if for a subband configuration, no frequency hopping parameter is not configured, then PUSCH hopping in a SBFD time unit with that subband configuration is disabled.

[0263] FIG. 8 illustrates an example diagram of PUSCH transmissions across different subband configurations and different time unit formats in accordance with some example embodiments of the present disclosure. In the example shown in FIG. 8, for UE configured with configuration 2 for PUSCH, the frequency domain resource for PUSCH in non-SBFD symbol is indicated as the resource in slot #2 and slot #3, and resource for PUSCH in slot #0 is determined based on the indicated offset for the first subband configuration and resource for PUSCH in slot #1 is determined based on the indicated offset for the second subband configuration.

[0264] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a PUCCH transmission. The UE 104 may receive, from the base station 102, a first PUCCH resource configuration for the first subband configuration and a second PUCCH resource configuration for second subband configuration. The PUCCH transmission may be performed in the at least one time unit based on the first PUCCH resource configuration for the second subband configuration. In other words, separate frequency domain configurations for SBFD subband with different sizes / locations may be configured for the same PUCCH ID, and the corresponding frequency domain configuration may be used for PUSCH transmission based on the SBFD subband size / location.

[0265] In some embodiments, the UE 104 may receive, from the base station 102, first power control parameters for the first subband configuration and second power control parameters for the second subband configuration. The operations may be performed in the at least one time unit based on the second power control parameters. For example, the same unified TCI state may be associated with separate UL power control parameters for SBFD symbols with different subband sizes and non-SBFD symbols. New P0AlphaSets may be introduced in UL-powerControl for SBFD symbols for PUSCH, PUCCH and SRS respectively.

[0266] In some embodiments, the UE 104 may receive, from the base station 102, a first SRS resource configuration for the first subband configuration and a second SRS resource configuration for the second subband configuration. The at least one transmission may include a PUSCH transmission and the PUSCH transmission may be associated with the second SRS resource configuration. For example, for SBFD with different subband configurations, different SRS resources should be configured. PUSCH transmission is associated with the SRS with the same subband configuration.

[0267] In some embodiments, if a PDCCH occasion overlapped with the at least one time unit is configured with a resource outside a DL subband boundary of the second subband configuration, the PDCCH occasion is invalid for PDCCH transmission.

[0268] In some embodiments, a CORESET overlapped with the at least one time unit configured with a resource outside of any of a DL subband boundary of the first subband configuration or a DL subband boundary of the second subband configuration is an error case. In other words, the CORESET may be configured to guarantee not across any DL subband boundary.

[0269] In some embodiments, the UE 104 may transmit, to the base station 102, a CSI report associated with a CSI-RS resource based on a same DL subband size or a same subband configuration. The CSI report may include an indication of the same DL subband size or the same subband configuration. For example, for a CSI report associated with a CSI-RS resource, the CSI resource may have different valid resource in different SBFD symbol, for a CSI report configured with SBFD symbol.

[0270] In some embodiments, the UE 104 may transmit, to the base station 102, a CSI report comprising a first CSI report and a second CSI report associated with a CSI-RS resource. The first CSI report may be based on the first subband configuration, and the second CSI report may be based on the second subband configuration. For example, the CSI should be derived by SBFD with the same subband size, and CSI report may be configured with the used subband size.

[0271] In some embodiments, the at least one transmission may include a single transmission or a first repetition of a transmission. The single transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission. The transmission may be a dynamic scheduling PDSCH transmission. In some examples, a TBS for the single transmission or the first repetition may be determined based on the at least one second DL subband. Alternatively, a number of PRBs, among assigned PRBs, within the at least one first DL subband is equal to a number of PRBs, among assigned PRBs, within the at least one second DL subband.

[0272] With some embodiments of the present disclosure, schemes regarding how to transmit or receive data / RS in a time unit with subband configuration change are designed.

[0273] In some embodiments, the change associated with the SBFD format being started during a transmission is an error case. In other words, For example, for direction 1 / direction 2 / direction 3, UE does not expect receiving the dynamic SBFD indication indicating the time unit change during one transmission. Thus, for all symbols of one transmission should have same format. Only part of symbols with a changed format is an error case.
